Xbox & PS4 Rank promotion bug.
( @Zander_Hawk this may apply to your PS4 fleet too )

Ive been having trouble promoting alts in the XB1 fleet.
When trying to promote them it promotes the persons other character instead of the toon that im trying to promote. This has happened both from the roster screen and from trying to promote in person.

Ive looked it up and it appears to be a bug that hasnt been fixed in a while.
There is work around.. a fleet captain has to invite you to a team, then promote them from the "Manage Team" menu

Premote the alt when he/she is online on that character

Yes, we resolved this use on Stonewall PS4 a while ago. We set Rank 1 to "Member Alt" so that all secondary characters are simply added with Member permissions while primary characters remain at the Rank 4 "Member". Rank 2 is "New Recruit" and Rank 3 is "Cadet". To ensure consistency only officers are able to promote players :)

LOL, sorry I did not imagine that the programming was the same or similar for both consoles. Luckily you only have 7 characters in XB1 therefore you can address the issue with ease.
