I can set the default to Site Members, but it'll only affect new account creations. It won't retroactively affect everyone's account.

Before, we had a component that allowed you to create a short url to give out. This is currently broken since the upgrade. I'll up date it ASAP and then return the profiles to as they were before. Unless popular demand wants me to return it as it was.

There should've been an alert near the top that said "Privacy setting saved" It's oddly placed above the Network menu.

Are you able to make profiles visible to members only by default? I think for privacy reasons you should always opt-in to this kind of thing rather than opting out. I believe this is even more important with the type of fleet we are.

Also, when I changed mine I didn't get any sort of confirmation it had been done. The page just kind of refreshed. Small thing but thought I'd mention it :)

Yeah, I agree. I never bought the whole thing about how Fed ships didn't have cloaking devices cause they had better sensors and didn't need them. They still serve a tactical position.

Defiant cloaking (as a retro fit) is coming in Season 2.0 ;)

Profiles are now visible to guests who come to the site. This way, if you have to show a friend who isn't a member of our site your profile, you can simply give them the link and they'll be able to see it.

If you'd rather people not be able to view your profile without logging in, go to Profile > Edit Profile > Privacy or click here and set your Profile Privacy to "Site Members." Only registered users of this site will then be able to see it.

I bought one last weekend and tried it out. It was fun. The ability to use cannons is nice and that big phaser is a good touch, though it takes over two minutes to recharge. The cloaking device is an interesting addition as well. With no more Romulus I guess the treaty of algeron no longer applies

Thanks for all the feedback. I was interested in the 3D but it's been out 2 years apparently and isn't very good. I can wait for that.

But the 3 screen thing seemed cool, plus when not playing games 3 monitors can be awesome. In my programming days I had 2 and loved it.

The local computer place I like (ncix) is pretty good at giving low prices and good advice. So if I decide to check it out I'll coordinate with them (bought my pc from them). Maybe they'll let me return it all if it sucks hehe

Welcome to the Caitian Picture Competition. Anyone who has rolled a Caitian toon will be aware that they have an increased jumping ability compared to other races. After Sparkz88 made us aware of how many unusual places a Caitian can get to, we decided to have a competition.

Please post pictures of your Caitian toons in the most unlikely and difficult places to reach, such as on top of walls, signs and trees etc. Also include a brief discription of where the picture was taken so we can all appreciate how difficult it was to get your toon there.

If you don't have a Caitian toon, please post a picture of another toon in a similarly difficult place to reach and we will judge those pictures seperately.

The closing date for this competition will be the 23rd of July 2010 and you can enter as many pictures as you like. The 2 winning pictures (Caitian and Non-Caitian) will be published in next month's Stonewall Times.
