I've noticed folks from lots of the other big fleets in the game doing this, so I thought it would be a fun thing to do with Stonewall Fleet.

What I've noticed is that people are putting their fleet initials at the end of their ship names, so when you see them fly past, you can recognize them as a member of whatever fleet they're in.

So I changed the names of all my ships to end in "-SWF-".

I encourage all of you to do the same, and show off our fleet pride in game.

The server just went down, so I'll make mine up tomorrow, but I'm just wondering, is nobody coming up with anything for the House of Nagh reD? Should ideas for that be submitted here also, or will there be a separate thread for those who have klingon toons?

Anyways, thought I'd make a suggestion that people explain why they made the logo the way they did.

If it's going to represent the fleet then maybe it should represent something about the fleet?

And if it's explained then the almighty officers will be able to judge better...

Here's my first attempt. As I mentioned in an above post, I really love the Vulcan philosophy of IDIC and how it relates to the motto of the fleet. What I'm trying to do with this logo is get across the idea that change, life, and prosperity (a green delta) is possible anywhere (a circle / planet gradient from lifegiving blue to hostile red). The delta is positioned in the circle in a similar fashion to triangle in the Vulcan IDIC symbol.

I hope yall don't mind that I'm putting up another.. I had an idea and went with it...

For mine, I chose the 3 primary colours, as they give the biggest contrast, and from them all the diverse colours are made. The linking circles are meant to be like a chain, showing a strong community, which I think we are.

As for the stars...they are really the only thing I could get to look good on it, haha :D

deepcarsteven, I really like your logo, but for reasons other than then ones you posted. That logo is very reminiscent of the IDIC symobol, used by Vulcans to symbolize the idea of "inifinte diversity in infinite combinations". Given this fleet's own motto, "strength in diversity", I think a logo that somehow incorporates or references IDIC would be really awesome.

I have chosen the rainbow symbol,to so show we are a friendly and accepting fleet.
The Vulcan hand becuase we all wish each other peace and long life and the hope that the fleet may live and prosper.

I'll start.

Blue ring for Federation.
Red for the Klingons.
All together as a circle of friends and a together fleet.
The pink triangle to indicate that we are Gay, Bi, Trans, Straight friendly fleet.

We've been getting lots of requests about a in-game logo. So to make that a reality, we're going to have a logo contest.

Those that are interested can design a Fleet logo for us in-game and submit it for judging here on the Forums. As the logo will represent the Fleet and be part of our 'image,' the Officers will be the judges for the contest.

Submissions will be accepted from now till 8/14/2010.

To create a logo:
Log into your character that's currently a member of Stonewall Fleet, the main fleet.
Open up the Fleet window.
Go to the Uniforms tab.
Click "Change Fleet Emblem." This will bring up the Fleet Emblem editor.
Design your Fleet Emblem.
Take a picture of it, either by click Print Screen and retrieving the image from your Screen Shot folder or pasting it in an image editing software.
When you are finished, click Cancel. Do not click OK.
Reply to this topic and attach your image.

To reply and attach your logo to this thread:
Click "Reply."
Beneath the Message window, find the "Select image file to attach" option.
Click "Choose File" and locate your image on your hard disk.
Click "OK."
Somewhere inside your replay, place the image tag by clicking the button to the right of the upload field.
Click "Submit."

JFYI, images have to be within 800 px by 800 px and under 150 kb to be uploaded to the forums.
