i was thinking more like team of 5 capts. klingons would patrol the halls in gun teams of 8 - 10. run into a few of those along the way. the bridge should be a klingon bridge crew so all boss strength. but the capts would have to divide into teams to handle the objectives.

I was just coming here to post about the space mod.. My GOD the game looks so much better to me without the "box" that is so evident in the sector space.. No box.. No popcicle sticks.. no glowing blue rings around planets... NO NEBULA in the Sol system... This is really what STO should be like.. period... lol

And, I'm glad that the dev's chimed in about their stance on the subject... I feel much more comfortable using the mod now.

Bwa? No nebula in Sol system? I missed that mod.

It's part of the same mod that removes the grids from Sector Space...

Along with your idea, your boff's could lead the parties which could be filled with other boff's or sec teams. You would not be able to lead all the teams because theoretically the teams would really be going out at the same time or close to it.

i would like to see some interior missions. for example, your ship has been taken over by klingons and they control the bridge. your mission is to take back the key areas of the ship and rescue teh bridge. in the mission there would be objectives that would have to be completeled together. like a team of 3 would have to go and secure engineering while a team of two would have to secure sick bay. both places would have to be secure by a set time or you lose the ship. once you have sick bay captured, it would be come the global respawn. you would have to rescue some of your crew being held or heal them. the final task would be to storm your own bridge. there would be multiple ways of getting onto the bridge. if you take the transporter room, you would appear in the capt's ready room. if you take the turbo lift you would storm immediately from there.

or just add the interior ship as a pvp map which i think would rock.

All of the above sound great!

I'd also be interested to see if we could make very teamwork orientated missions, especially if the UGC tools allowed an element of randomisation. If it did, you could for example make a mission for five people where one designated 'leader' goes to one area alone, from which they're able to see an overview of what's happening that the other's can't see. That leader would then be able to direct the other four's defensive/offensive strategy, based upon what they can see is about to happen, rather than simply their experience of what happened last time.

For instance, it could start by the five of you warping into a large system with a Borg base/station/installation [of some kind], which is surrounded by a large number of Transwarp Corridors, around a wide perimeter. After defeating some Borg ships patrolling this area, you could all beam into the Borg 'base', and fight together to take control of it and therefore a computer station in it that displays the Transwarp Corridors' activity. The Leader would then be left alone to monitor this, while the other four beam back to their ships and head to whichever Transwarp Corridor the Leader can see is about to have Borg re-enforcements exit from. There could be several waves of re-enforcements on timers. Also, hopefully some level of skill on the part of the Leader in interpreting correctly which Corridor exit will be active next, or perhaps in recognising the most efficient order to intercept several waves of Borg coming through in a short period.

What PS3 games to people tend to play?

Right now I've been playing Red Dead Redemption, Mafia II and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Would be great to find a game that some of us can play multiplayer on!

Stonewall Betting Book: The Breen Series Reward

September 16 2010
Stonewall Betting Book: The Breen Series Reward

For a bit of fun we've decided to open a betting book on what the end reward is for the new Breen Weekly Episode Series.

1 Guess = 1 Ticket
1 Ticket = 10,000 Credits

If you put in 100,000 credits you have 10 guesses. This is not odds betting (you know, where you bet X amount of 3to1 odds) but more like the betting you do at school fairs when you guess how many M&Ms are in a jar for 1 ticket. We just don't have a jar (or M&Ms, those are mine!). So, please, don't put in large amounts unless you have that many guesses.

You must deposit the credits in the Stonewall Fleet, Deep Space Stonewall or the House of Nagh reD fleet bank. (If you are a visiting fleet member, you may give you credits to any officer)

If more than one person picks the same guess, you will divide the money. So guessing different things is more to your advantage.

Guesses need to be specific, not open ended. Open ended guesses will be considered forfeit.

For example:

"A new costume item" would not be a specific guess.
"A Breen Helmet Option" would be a specific guess.

The winner(s) will get the money raised in betting.

The book will be closed on the 24th (or earlier, if the reward leeks out).

Please use this format to make you guess:

@Handle:
Bank credit were deposited into:
Guess:

Guesses should be posted here.

If no one has the right guess then the money will be put towards Fleet maintenance

My mom lives in Vegas...so I just need to make "family visit" align with ST convention. Then I can embarrass my family by dragging them along with my bf and I (who I'll also be dragging)

id love missions that continue from some episodes from the series, and also some sort of way that we can replay some of the episodes in a holodeck or something (would love to play on of the battles in the dominion war ^,^) and also more missions where if our shields fail we'd get boarded then switches to ground and fight...that'd be pretty cool with the corridors rumbling from the battle going on in space :D

Perhaps we could even create a mission where your character meets and teams with Stonewall Fleet, maybe fighting alongside the USS Stonewall. At the end of the mission, you'd be offered a chance to join the fleet (in the storyline). We could make this mission a part of the process of joining the fleet, and maybe even incorporate several of the members toons into the mission.

I've said this a few times, once UGC comes out we should develop what I call "Fleet Canon" where there would be a collection of missions made by the fleet, for the fleet, featuring our characters and stories.

As an example, I've already scripted an episode that delves into the backstory of the Vardinain people (my made up race) as well as the histories of my two Vardinain characters, Chox on the Fed side, and her brother Frell in the KDF.

My episode will be playable by both factions, and depending on who you play as, you'll either be helped by Chox and face Frell as a boss, or be helped by Frell and face Chox as a boss.

Episodes like this could all be made into a larger story of what Stonewall Fleet is in game, in a RP capacity.

Also, think of the episode creation contest possibilities!

"Not supported" is not synonymous with "Against the TOS". Only discussing how to cover their poor texturing in their forums is against the TOS.
