No, he was right. The promo calls it "unlikely allies" and then the Cardassian swoop in and start attacking the Federation, i thought? Or maybe I saw it wrong?

Would have made a lot more sense if you had the Federation & Klingons against the Cardassians & Dominion.

Its an issue with this site. The integration between the Network and Forums isn't great, but its a problem that's getting worked on and hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

Until then, any Officer can update someone's forum signature.

This isn't the only site where I've had a problem like this, so I think it's an issue with my computer.

Is it possible to get a copy of the fleet logo with the rainbow coloring for those of us that wanna give making our own sig a go?

I used to play EvE but kinda got tired of the wash/rinse/repeat mentality of their PvE missions. You only fought one type of enemy (Space Pirates) and the last 'rat' you destroyed always had the item you needed to complete the mission.

I did read, however that the next expansion was going to be their most elaborate yet - a better character generator and the ability to explore starbases. When that happens I may give the game another shot. :)

Changed your sig to the new one for you. I can't see why it didn't let you save it, but we will look into it for next time.

Okay, I made big changes to a BO and hence my sig. Still refusing to let me save a new sig. It's not a cookies thing, best I can tell.

Cool! I haven't done the Vulcan diplo mish yet, so now when I do I'll be prepared.

Thanks for the helpful hints, all! I'm definitely going to give my tac's exploit weapons and see how good they are a vaporizing my enemies. But I'm also going to keep one for myself, because I love watching the baddies go poof. Bwahahahahaha!

A couple of my tips:

* Can't find one of the historians for the Vulcan diplomatic mission? Go down the stairs. Keep going the same direction, around and past the fountain. You'll see a faint trail going up a steep hill, which ends up being marked by huge torches. At the top of the hill is a round building. If you think of the building like a compass, and you're at South on the building, the last historian is at Northwest, just outside the building behind a little hill. Very hard to find but one of the keys to solving the mission.

* Have an unsupported video card, but want more detailed screen captures of your characters and ships? Go into Options > Video and crank the video quality all the way up. Your sound and manoeuverability will be shot but you'll get more details in for your pics. This is best done at a tailor or ship customisation station, or at an idle point in a mission.

Seannewboy: LOVE your captain's look! That's the kind of detail I can't get with my unsupported video card. Time for me to upgrade, eh? :-)
