Hey friend! I'm currently working on my Master's degree in English and plan to teach college/university English classes in the future :)

I have also taken "Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language" courses and am experienced with correcting papers written by people who do not speak English as a Native Language... primarily people who speak Spanish as a first language, but at least I understand how confusing English can be for those who do not grow up speaking it! ;)

I actually plan on teaching English in Japan for the 2011-2012 school year (and perhaps beyond!) and I also happen to *LOVE* Roman history... so am I qualified to help you with your paper? :D I'd love to help you out! Let me know if you'd like my personal e-mail address so you can send as an attachment or something and I'd love to take a look at it.

Those university papers can be tricky to write, especially if you have a picky professor :P

I would happily look through it, but I am no scholar, so if you get no better offers from some of our more educated fleet members, send it on over and I will do my best to help.

PS: I don't do *that* kind of favors hehehe:p

Then no.

.. hehe, only kidding.

I'd happily offer to help but despite English being my native language it's never been something I've been good at especially when it comes to grammar/spelling and syntax.

Sorry but good luck with your paper :)

Wanted: English Native Speakers to review my paper

November 21 2010
Heyheyyy,

I'm currently writing my bachelorpaper and I'm looking for native English speakers to inspect it for English structure/syntax errors. My English is quite good but writing is tricky, especially when concerning a university paper ;)

So I would be really grateful is someone would be interesting in reading through the thing! Preferably someone who likes history since the content is quite specific hehe.

I'm studying history and it's about the failure of the pro-pagan religious policy of Julian the Apostate, a Late Roman emperor, and the last pagan one. He tried to combat the rise of Christianity, some 2 generations after Constantine the Great converted to Christianity and thereby de facto legitimized it in the Roman Empire.

Anyone who is interested please leave me a message and I will send you what I have. If I can do something for you in return, please let me know.

PS: I don't do *that* kind of favors hehehe:p

Because they can't afford the legal team.

Or don't want to pay for the legal team, anyway.

I dont understand why they dont just have some more contests. The Americans make the Enterprise F, the Europeans make the starbase, the Aussies/Asians create the Crew.

I think perhaps there is an even larger group that has been disenfranchised than the international folks who are upset that they cannot participate in the contest.

They are a silent majority who take it as read that they cannot participate and do not complain one bit.

I am, of course, referring to the acutely untalented.

Won't someone think of the untalented children?

But we don't know what the design tool will be, so you may be able to win even if you can't draw a smiley face without using a keyboard. :)

Actually that's what worries me. The ship design web site they had before was underwhelming, and only allowed probably

@Zep & Nick: Yay! I'm really glad you guys liked this. Nick, I was thinking about your suggestions earlier regarding the Foundry, and I have some ideas. I'll get back to you later.

@Mandy: Since you paid for this, your approval is the best of all. I'm really happy you enjoyed it. By the way, right now this exists as a Google Doc that probably needs a little more spelling/grammar check. I plan to go through it, clean it up a little, and get it to you as Word file so that you'll always have it. I'll also be sending you a PM imminently asking your permission for something.

Oh, and I need to say, this was a lot of fun to write and I actually learned some things while doing it. So while Mandy paid for this, I feel like I got the lion's share out of it. Thank you for the challenge, because I think this really helped me grow a bit as a writer. Additionally, I can't wait to get to work on Foundry content and new Pandora stories!
