was thinking he was more of a space rogue that stole hearts and ass while warping from base to base, named him Landar Aldent

I did notice that you still have a avatar at mo but being able to take pictures of your char with different backgrounds poses and even light really makes it your own

That looks awesome!

I just resubbed to EVE Online. I've been wanting to check out some of their recent additions like Planetary Interaction.

After logging in for the first time in over a year, I was blown away by the new character creator. Before, your character was just represented in-game with an Avatar, basically just a jpeg, but now as they get ready to allow people to get out of their ships and walk around, they've completely redone their character technology with something they call Carbon and I'm pretty impressed with it.

My character sans clothes:

Modifying how your character looks is really interesting too. Instead of the usually sliders most games have, you hover your mouse over muscle groups or bone structures and you're able to adjust them by dragging your mouse up/down or left/right.

I'm also really impressed with Planetary Interaction. The planets look amazing! You can now scan them, find minerals on them, and build colonies on them to mine and process the ore on them.

The G330 looks rather nice, might have to get myself one so I can speak on vent.
Found a Logitech G35 which seems like the corded version of that G930 above in the first link.

I second the G330 recommendation; they're hardly top-of-the-line, but I think mine do a great job for the price I paid.

Alternately, the b/f uses a set of Roccat Kave's and says they're good quality and built well, albeit quite heavy for long sessions.

Logitech G330 - cheap, great quality, corded

I record Priority One with it and you hear the quality on there :)

Lo there people!

I'm Altimus@Ashaen in game. I'm currently in another Fleet (12th Fleet), but Stonewall caught my eye and I thought I'd have a look. There don't always seem to be many UK people in my fleet, which means its a bit quiet during tjhe times i play, and I although they're all friendly, I haven't really clicked with the Fleet yet.

Just looking though at the moment!

welcome! :)

This one is a bit on the pricey side.... but you gotta love wireless:
http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones/devices/7248

They are other models here:
http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones?WT.ac=bc|36|7248

I use a wired one Tritton AXPro 5.1 digital that I bought last year (but if I got another one... I think i'd go wireless.
http://www.trittonusa.com/index.php/products/gaming_audio_technology/ax-pro/

To be honest: It's more complicated than it's worth... And has a big price tag... I don't use half the features it comes with.

I go for something simpler and wireless... probably something like this:

My Fishbowl

February 22 2011
Hello ladies, gents, and everything else in between.

Those of you who have spoken to me on Vent will have heard a few mentions that the sound coming from my microphone resembles me living in a fish-bowl.

While I, like many of you, do love submerging myself into a tub of water every year or so, I don't live in one.

I can only assume this is because of the acoustics in my living room and that my cat is not acting as a good sound buffer to prevent echoes.(_)

To that end, could any of you that use a gaming headset recommend one to me so that I may end the scourge that is my fishy sounding life on vent?

I wanted to say, Thanks for doing all this work Sirannataan. I look forward to seeing the outcome. I'm not much for names, mostly mine are versions of Doogie. My Boff's often get TV character names or Greek Mythology names.

Again, thanks for all your hard work.
