Some of you know that I've been compiling names that players have been using for different species' characters, and then running them through an algorithm to determine what we players collectively feel like the languages of different species sound like. I've been trying to post the results on message boards, but it's much to unwieldy. So, instead, I've created a website to post the results. It's live: http://s-i-x.webs.com , but not filled out yet. I plan to work on this for the next day or two.

At the moment, Andorian and Orion are ready to post. I've been wanting to get Caitian ready to post, but I've determined that players have taken two such radically different takes on Caitian, that I'm considering breaking it down into two dialects, which I call the "Shiboline" and "M'Ress" dialects, as those two names look like the two directions folks go with Caitian names.

Right now, I'm going to create a logo for the Institute. I'm looking up the Egyptian hieroglyphic for "tongue", I figure that would be a good base for a logo.

Actually, that makes a lot of sense. I'm going to try it out later.

I wanted to do a nice story in the foundry which didnt involve combat but when I came to do it I was most disappointed with what I couldnt do. In particular I found myself having to use a specific template when trying to design the interior to my ship. i was also disappointed in not being able to have an entity disappear off the starmap after I had finished with it.

If anybody wishes to see my effort it is a KDF mission, even though it may be more suited to Federation due to being non combat, called 'Sensor Anomaly' by Dirlettia.

Any critiques are welcome as well as any ideas on how to advance the storyline a bit.

I'd like to see what you can show us about the Foundry. I have many story ideas that I would like to begin working on now that Foundry is live.

I agree with what has been mentioned previously in this thread as far as what I would like to learn from you, but I would be really interested in finding out how to make episodes that become a series of continued story lines.

I have a couple ideas that I want to stretch out into a few episodes, to heighten suspense.

Yes, really good job everyone! You all should be very proud of yourselves as you are all amazing writers.

I just have to say, you all did not make it easy. I'm ready to start reading the remaining parts of the stories.

What you need to do is create your first mission map, then place some sort of an objective on it, be it kill an enemy, talk to a contact or interact with an object.

This will cause a Map Transition element to show up in the Project workflow. On it, select that you want the exit to be "whole map," I believe, and then set the 'door' to whichever planet you want to use.

Bah, that's probably a bad description. If you still can't figure it out, let me know and I'll look up the exact steps to do it.

I believe Nick is planning some training sessions soon so you can always post any specific foundry questions you have in his previous thread in the mean time.

Also if you are not a member of the Foundry Task Force yet, check it out. I'm sure they will be organising more Foundry related stuff now that it has gone live.

I've followed the videos, I've experimented around, but the single most important element of putting together a Foundry mission, I have no clue how to do, and can't find anyone who knows:

How do I select the planet(s) on the Sector Block map that I need the person to go to to start the mission, and how do I put in the little "Begin this mission" button thing on that planet?
