Mark, I guess you'll get to see the lovely Mr Barrowman again in the new Torchwood...

The other day I was wondering about multiple-doctor episodes... you remember the old ones where Tom Baker et al would appear on-screen at the same time? They could easily do a similar one now with Smith, Tennant and Eccleston - that'd be great fun! He is a time traveller, after all... :)

Semantics. ;-)

The way they ended the episode (similar to how they left the Pirate episode) you could almost see "new Dr. Who spinoff series idea" or "sequel episodes" flashing in the writer's head. I would still like to see his "daughter" again sometime.

Then again, I'd really love to see some episodes involving Tennant era characters again, particularly Capt. Jack Harkness and Dr. Martha Jones.

Here in the States it is airing on Starz! instead of the usual BBC America (though, maybe that comes later, like often happens, the new season of Dr. Who seems to be the exception). Don't know how it's being aired in the U.K.

But yeah, it's a partnership between BBC and Starz to bring Torchwood back. Starz was always my favorite premium movie channel anyway, but I've been too cheap to pay for one. They'll be getting my business at least as long as they are airing new episodes of Torchwood.

I'm not surprise the lesbian couple in the clip got more support than the guys did.

In a straight male dominated culture, the idea of two women is easier for people to accept than two men.

But, things are changing ... slowly ... one generation at a time.

Go Texas, I'd be more concerned for the kids being made to eat in that greasy spoon.

Interesting that the lesbians got more support than the lads.

absolutly awsome. It realy pisses me off when I hear people gay bashing and being shit talkers about homosexuality. I may be the one of the few token straights in this fleet but me personaly if that had happen
ed where i was eating or just being where I could hear it she or he would have got what for. (once dragged a man from a bar by his throat just for saying "fukin fag" End of the day if peoiple dont like what someone is then fine but voice it in a none racist/homaphobic way and sit down with people and talk over your issues. ( i know no homophobs are going to be reading this realy but hey) GAY PRIDE!!!!!! Be proud of who you are not what others say about you. You are special and unique and are loved for the person you are not for who you love and want to be with.

Wow, that got me teary too!

I don't think it proves anything about States though... as Mark says, 'shared responsibility'. If this situation happened with only one other person/couple in the restaurant, chances are they'd say something (I'd hope).

Like many BBC shows now it is a co-production (between BBC Cymru, BBC Worldwide(BBCs commercial wing) and Starz) to get some american money for the expensive bits...

Okay... I think the most exciting part of the Video is the title right above it:

Torchwood: Miracle Day (2011): Season 1 Trailer

Starz is definitely getting a new customer for a few months.

Wait, it's playing on Starz?

I'm really digging the new season too.

Haven't gotten beyond the Pirate episode yet. I have to drag MikeyNY along somtimes when we DVR a series. We wind up falling a few weeks behind.

I've also been wondering when and if they will ever wind up revisiting the Doctor's Daughter from a few seasons back.

Wow, that's a real eye opener...

Perhaps your average person in the US south is far more tolerant than the media generally give them credit for.

Kudos to those people in Texas!

Great clip, thanks for sharing it!

I remember back to my college days when we learned about about a concept, and I'm going to butcher the name of, "Shared Responsibility." The more people that are witness, the less likely someone is to get involved.

If someone is in an intimate setting with only one or two people around, the fewer number have a greater shared responsibility to act, and therefore are more likely to do so.

If you've got a hundred bystanders, everyone has a smaller shared responsibility to act, and therefore any one person is less likely to do so.

This was a great video, Nicholas. Thanks for sharing.

It's nice to see, for once, that the issue is being shown and addressed outside of the usual political rhetoric.
