Re: Sith Guild

November 04 2011
It would be great if we could have more in the Sith guilds before launch, but I doubt we will be equal as most people will want to try the Jedi side first and we can only choose one before the game goes live. I think that after launch the Sith guilds on both the US and EU servers will be just as busy as the Jedi ones once people can create alts and belong to both sides. Fingers crossed anyway, hehe.

Yes and the Lords of Stonewall on the US server is also good to go. Although we still need some of our EU members to switch to the EU versions before those guilds can be included in the next stage.

We need 2 more pre-ordered members for The Stonewall Order.
We need 1 more pre-ordered member for the Lords of Stonewall (EU).

Yesterday I updated all the Stonewall recruitment threads we have on many LBGTQ gamer sites and the SWTOR forum. So I hope that will generate the numbers to go up. I don't see that it will be a problem.

one of the nice things is there are codex all around. so you can spend time looking for lore objects and holocrons while working on stuff. And I have to say, the graphics are nice.

I'm the same. I rushed ahead with STO and found myself with little to do. This time I'm going to take my time and explore everything, even if it takes forever, lol.

Sith Guild

November 04 2011
Looking at the membership numbers in Knights of Stonewall and Lords of Stonewall, I noticed that many people have not moved over to the Sith guild yet. How many folks actually plan on playing Sith (Def. not me)? It would be nice to have equal numbers in both guilds.

Re: Crafting ???

Here are a couple of links to some good preliminary info on crafting......

http://forum.alterswtor.com/index.php?/topic/138-swtor-beta-%e2%80%93-crafting/

You can access the codex at http://bobcat.corruption-eu.com/XMLViewer-he801v1/Viewer.htm under the cdx folder. There you can see what each crafting skill requires.

Edit: correction on second link

Our Allies & Adviseries

November 04 2011
I'm very happy to say that Knights and Lords of Stonewall has gotten all of our allies and adversaries straightened out!

We're are currently allied/adversaries with 5 other GLBT and GLBT-Friendly guilds!

Our allies and adversaries include Taint (Sith Empire), Rough Trade (Galactic Republic), Shadow Syndicate (Sith Empire), Praxis (Galactic Republic), and XFOR (Sith Empire). Knights of Stonewall and Lords of Stonewall are adversaries to one another, as well.

If you check our guild HQ, you'll see that each guild is only aligned with three other guilds. This is because each guild is limited to only three allies and allegiances total. To make sure that we're aligned with all the other GLBT and GLBT-friendly guilds, we've worked with the other guilds to create a 'chain' where each guild is allied with two other guilds.

The hope behind all of this is that we'll all be placed on the same server creating a more international glbt focused server for all glbt centered guilds and players to enjoy for years to come.

I'm, personally, very happy that we're part of this.

By the way, there is a thread here on the swtor boards about the minimum requirements and a huge discussion about different systems and if they are good enough, etc. that you may want to check out or ask questions of (many people far more qualified than me :) )

as for your card, from what you posted it doesn't look totally promising.. looks to me like an integrated graphics card (i could be wrong). but they generally suck.
How long ago did you buy the machine?

it may just be a matter of adding a graphics card. Can you ask questions of whoever you bought it from? e.g. was it a company like dell or something.

oh, to clarify something else... is that a single processor or dual core?
I was thinking it was dual, but I reread it and it doesn't appear to be so.

Just a reminder for our EU players. The EU Knights of Stonewall has been set up now and is ready for people to join.

Knights of Stonewall (EU)*

*The EU version of Knights of Stonewall has been created under the name The Stonewall Order. This is to due with an error in Bioware's guild system which for some reason thinks "Knights of Stonewall" contains restricted words. We will hopefully fix this problem when the game launches so we are all under the name Knights of Stonewall. So don't let that put you off joining.

I'm really looking forward to SW:TOR and the story lines they have created for the different classes. This will be the first MMO that I've played where I'm not going to rush to be a server first for my class.

I'll be right there with you leveling slow and reading all the story lines and carefully making my choices. (I have allergies so I won't stop to smell the flowers as they always make me sneeze ;) ) That is what is so appealing to me about this game. Each of our choices will effect our toons. It will be interesting to see how my trooper turns out.

Don't be to discouraged when you see others race towards lvl 50, for some that is their fun in game.

I'm very excited about release, just a little over a month away!!!

Stopping to smell the roses

November 04 2011
I think my biggest disappointment when I get into a new MMORPG is the fact that most everybody you see is running around like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to level, level, level as fast as they can. I've been known to get caught up in that hysteria myself, but this time around I really don't want to go crazy trying to keep up with them. I want to take my time and enjoy the journey. Does anyone else feel that way?

I don't mean to say I am going to deliberately play slowly, I plan to follow the progression of the missions as they occur, I just don't want to give in to that feeling of being left behind by everybody else who's running past me. I'm going to stop and smell the Alderaanian roses from time to time. I hear they're lovely this time of year. ;)

Hmm, this doesn't look promising. The video card is some kind of built in thing, or am I looking at this wrong?

Here's the details:

Chip Type: ATI display adapter (0x9616)
DAC Type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Adapter String: AMD 760G
Total Grpahics Memory: 1919 MB
Dedicated Video Memory: 256 MB
System Video Memory: 0 MB
Shared System Memory: 1663 MB

My OS is Windows 7

Thanks for the help!

Re: Computer Spec Help

seems promising. My 2 core worked fine in beta.

Try this to find what your graphics card is...
  • right click on the MY COMPUTER icon and select Manage
  • left click DEVICE MANAGER on the listed tree and you can see all the hardware on your pc
  • left click on "display adapters" and you can see the model and make of your video card

Also, to know your Operating System:
At your desktop:
Right click on "My Computer"
Left Click on Properties
Your operating system will be listed under the System heading

Let us know! :)

Computer Spec Help

November 04 2011
I openly admit that I know nothing about computers, so I could use some help in determining if my current computer will be able to run SWTOR. Here are my specs:

AMD Athlon II X2 220 Processor 2.80 GHz
4.00 GB RAM
64-bit Operating System

I don't know what kind of video card I have, but I can always get a new one if that is needed.

Thanks in advance!!
