There's a unofficial patch for that. Even for the steam version.
I understand we EU folk will be joining the USA server now, so pleeease let me know what server you end up on as soon as you find out, and I'll try to make my toons there... hopefully the ping won't be too bad...

Well, I just uninstalled the old client and any residue that it left and went to download the new client, but now I cant find the download page =/.
I tried playing KOTOR on my comp as weel, but the resolution just does not hold up very well, but that may just be me.

I'll have to try Wales when I go to the UK in 2012. They don't have a lot of castles here in the US ;)

I have an itching feeling that not everyone is going to get in on the 15th like folks think. As DakonKor said, it will be more like waves of folks getting in starting on the 15th. I pre-ordered a day after the game came out but am not counting on getting in on the 15th.
Well, I just read everyone's responses (which are vomiting bubbly feelings left and right) and it did not really help in toning down my excitement >_>. I hope I get to atleast reserve my toon name.
Well, your name is one of two on the "Name Reservation" list that Angel is managing, not to mention how unique it is, so I know I will at least attempt to get as many of the names reserved as I can. My husband and I purchased the day Pre-Orders started so I'm expecting to get in during the first couple of waves.
Ok, this is what it actually says from the official posting:
If you have played in our game testing program at any point from November 25th onwards, you will not need to re-install the game client, as you should already have the launch version installed.
To verify that you have the launch version installed, you can check for the "assets_swtor_main.version" file in the following location on your computer: \Program Files (x86)\EA\BioWare\Star Wars – The Old Republic (assuming default installation). If you have that file present, you do not need to reinstall the game client.
With that said, some users may notice that their game client folder is much larger than 27 GB on their system. This may be due to having redundant files from previous versions of the client. If you need to clear up space, we recommend completely uninstalling the client and downloading and installing the launch game client. Again, we’ll update this post with more instructions when they’re available.
