Anyone else besides me worried about bioware's track record with email blasts? They had more than one snafu with them during beta, and theyre waiting till the day of to send out the early entry emails (read it on twitter). I just hope they go out ok, and they send them out at like midnight tonight or something and not wait till 7am tomorrow morning.

That was awesome, but after watching it four times I can't tell what the fifth day is. One time it sounds like "World-wide RP" but the other times I can't tell, and the Sith called whatever it was disgusting the first time.

He's saying "Moonguard ERP". Watch this and you'll understand the Sith's response. :S

It's kind of a joke in the WoW community, "Don't go to Goldshire on Moonguard!"

I've noticed a lot of "guests" when I log in and at times 20 or so members. I'm not to worried about the numbers as I think many folks are trying to keep themselfs busy till launch.

I do think you will see an increase in folks logging into vent once the game is out. Also more will come by the forums to look up information, we have many good links posted and very useful stuff under the tips and tricks post.

Re: Fan fiction Star Wars writers?

December 12 2011
I realize that my writing is not the best, I never did great with grammar and punctuation but I hope you like the content of the story.

I have tried to incorporate as much of the known lore of the Zabrak as I could, as well as known general Star Wars lore, the only thing that I truly did not know was how the measure of time was done. So I did my best to compensate.

As others that have gone down the Inquisitor path will note, I used opening of Sith Inquisitor class quest line as the end point, so it will be interesting to see how I progress it as I play the game.

I will develop more of this story and who know maybe ke'Tallak and Shayachern will meet again and live happily ever after.

Ah, the thread was handy, thanks Fearless Leader! I'll also PM Aldente now.

Re: Guild item management? (Also idle chatter pt 2)

You should have a chat with Aldente if you haven't already. He'll be heading up our crafting pursuits ingame and we've talked about him setting aside a personal character bank to store crafting supplies for the guild till we get a guild bank ingame.

There's a thread here about the legacy system if you wanna give that a read.

Guild item management? (Also idle chatter pt 2)

December 12 2011
Morning All!

So, I understand we don't have a guild bank or ship/hall/cantina at launch. Do we have a plan for guild items? Perhaps a running thread where we can list items up for grabs as a virtual guild bank (or is that virtual-virtual GB...)?

I plan to craft like a mad man. I also plan on hitting the game *hard* ("like it owes me money") for the first couple of weeks, and a big part of my enjoyment of an MMO is feeling like I contribute to my guild. If anyone needs an item or quest assistance, look me up! Odds are good I will be on.

Lastly, because I crashed early and now woke up three hours earlier than normal and feel very talkative, anyone else interested in this Legacy system? It sounds like it *could* be very neat. I'm a tad sad I have to regrind a character up to 25 first (made it to 19 during beta and I plan on starting with the same class for my main) to get the family name claimed. I'd be devastated if someone else on our server planned on using the same name (Eclipsis, an old character surname used elsewhere).

Anyone else worried that theres so little traffic on here 2 days from headstart? I mean, before the STO headstart we had a ton of people on here and in the IRC chatroom and vent. Now, theres hardly every more than 8-10 people logged in. We had over 100 members who signed up on the tor site right? where is everyone?

The launch of TOR is very different from the launch of STO. First of all, when Stonewall Fleet started we were a very small tight knit group who was use to using the IRC channel as our only means of communication. Now, we're much larger we have vent and in-game chat to do a lot of that stuff. The forums have been much more active as late though.

Quote by Neilston
As far as the high visitor count, I asked Doogiegood a couple weeks ago to say something to Nick and see, on the backside of the site what all the visitor blips are. If I was forced to speculate, I would bet that the vast majority are search engine bots. The Stonewall forums have all the keywords needed to show up on a Star Wars Knights of the old Republic search. And that topic is a hot search item right now.

The guest count on Online Users module is a bit crap. That number is pulled from a file that stored in a directory that shared across all the sites on our server. It's not a very good indicator. The best indicator is our analytics data that I post every month. According to it, yesterday, we had a 200% increase in site traffic over a month ago.

Both StonewallFleet.com and KnightsofStonewall.com are showing increased traffic probably due to the launch of Season 5 for Star Trek Online and the pending release for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Working and cleaning before Christmas, I have family over for Christmas dinner this weekend (brother: You are going to give up six hours of early access to feed us all?). I've also hit Skyrim and AC:R/SR3 hard to stave off the SWTOR shakes.

I never even got the chance to actually even see my character ship, but I was just curious mostly. Plus I'd rather be given a choice and not feel like I have to use that particular one. Because every one of the same class will have the same one and no one will be special >_>
