Xavian and Xal on Republic. I need the guild leader's name as well to add me to the guild. There was a hair situation and had to scrap the first character.

We did have threads for both Knights and Lords of Stonewall on the forums, but it looks both threads have been removed. We'll have to make new ones.

That's very odd. You should still be able to edit your forum profile on both sites. I'll look into that.

Are all the servers really full?

December 14 2011
This makes me a little nervous. I likely won't receive my email for a couple days yet. If the servers are already full, are they expecting all the other early access people to join new servers they will presumably be launching?

I was trying to edit it from the knightsofstonewall.com. The word EDIT is there, but not clickable. I went to stonewallfleet.com and was able to click it.

Thanks all!

I'm slightly worried by the number of servers showing up as "Full" in the server list already (including Jekk'Jekk!)... hope I'll be able to make a toon there...

Re: Calling All SW:TOR Crafters!

December 14 2011
ugh. planning this is hard. Feedback on the below appreciated...

I'm probably gonna have 3 active toons:

Smuggler with cybertech, scavenging, and slicing

Jedi guardian with synthweaving, archaeology and underworld trading (which will also be helping the smuggler's cybertech)

and

Jedi sage with either
artifice / archaeology / treasure hunting
OR
biochem / bioanalysis / diplomacy

I like the idea of doing artifice more, but biochem seems VERY useful (and possibly lucrative).

thoughts?

Thanks!

Apparently, you can go to the fleet to grab your crafting skills pretty much right away, and then return to the Starter area to do your missions there and do some gathering too! I haven't personally tested this though.

Re: PROTECT IP & Stop Online Piracy Acts

December 14 2011
I actually did a presentation on this bill for my Ethics class. There are some serious issues with the bill that the co-sponsors are seemingly wanting to brush aside and get it passed. There was a hearing back on November 16 that was rather, em...lively.

The bill would allow the Attorney General to get a federal warrant that would force ISPs to stop associating offending URLs to their IP addresses, essentially removing a website from the Internet. In other words, if the AG for some bizarre reason got an order against us, when you typed in stonewallfleet.com, it wouldn't bring you here, it MIGHT display a message stating that the site is blocked or that the page can not be found.

This presents many issues. First, the language used by the bill is very broad and without doubt open to being abused. Second, the nature of turning off URLs associating to their IP addresses poses serious concerns for DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) which technology experts have worked to establish for over a decade.

In short, this bill will probably cause far more harm than good. Many groups including the ACLU is against it and it needs to be defeated in Congress.

This is where Ventrillo will be worth it's weight in GOLD!

Be sure to get it loaded up (Even if you don't have a Mic.) You can use the chat function in Vent to find online officers and other Stonewall players.

I didn't think of that lol. I already downloaded Vent and already had connected to our server, so Ill look for people when Im online after work tonight. Got my email this morning, but didn't have time before work to log on :-)

SWTOR future stuff

December 14 2011
got this from pcgamer
http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/12/13/star-wars-the-old-republic-to-get-guild-capital-ships-more-pvp-expanded-space-combat/

Star Wars: The Old Republic has opened up to the first wave of pre-orderers, but Bioware are already talking about the future of The Old Republic. In a new post on The Old Republic community news page, the devs outline some of the features they’re planning to add, including new Operations, Flashpoints and extra solo missions. Guilds can expect to have their own banks before any other new features, but in the long run Bioware are hoping “to deliver on the promise of the long hinted at ‘Guild Capital Ships.’”

There’s also an entire team dedicated exclusively to building new PvP challenges. New Warzones will be high on the agenda, but there’s also talk about the high level open world PvP on Ilum, which few people got to see on the beta. The on-rails space shooter sections will also be expanded, with cryptic hints at “a special project” that will change space battles “in a significant way.” UI customisation and new Legacy features are also promised. You can read the full list of planned features below.

New Content – We will be adding new content to the galaxy on an ongoing basis. These worlds will include Operations, Flashpoints and solo content.
Guild Functionality – Guilds are important to the long term health of any MMORPG. We have a huge list of guild centric features. This will be an ongoing effort that will probably never end. Guild banks are the first thing we’ll be delivering in our plans for increased guild functionality. Eventually we even want to deliver on the promise of the long hinted at “Guild Capital Ships”.
UI customization – You like choice. We hear you! SWTOR is all about choice. Being able to choose how you interact with an online game is something we feel is very important. We are going to be giving more control over the UI as an ongoing effort. This is a very big priority for us.
PvP – We have an entire team dedicated to adding content and features to player vs. player. We have some of the most experienced PvP developers in the world on this team. So far very few people have seen, or know much about the stunning Open World PVP on Ilum; when you get to the high levels prepare to be blown away! In addition to that high level PVP content, expect new Warzones and new PvP features on a regular basis.
Space Combat – We will continue to add missions to the space game. We also have a special project going on right now that will expand space gameplay in a significant way… for now the details will have to remain under wraps.
Legacy System – The ability to select a surname for your character is just the start of something much bigger. Soon, the Legacy experience and levels you earn will grant your characters access to powers, objects and other cool benefits.

And more – We have an entire team of developers working on future content. Right now we are focused on nothing else but Star Wars: The Old Republic, so expect new and cool things.

PROTECT IP & Stop Online Piracy Acts

December 14 2011
The following tags can not be placed within a specific tag: center in b
If you haven't heard of the two acts listed in the subject, you should learn about them. The PROTECT IP Act (the Senate version) and the Stop Online Piracy Act (the House of Representatives version) are two new proposed bills to continue the fight against online piracy. They are the most insidious bills yet to be put forth by the RIAA and the MPAA and could seriously threaten the foundation of the Internet and the social nature that we've come to expect from it.

(Invalid video video code)

As the video states, a lot of the sites that they want to target are outside the United States so they're finding new means to punish them so this bill has far reaching effects; even our European brothers and sisters could feel its sting.

If you're in the US, I deeply encourage you to contact your Senators and Representatives and urge them to vote against these bills. You can do so at the link below.
