Here's a pic of my "office" I decorated in SWG. Notice the X-Wing on the table by the Wine and Cookies.

It wouldn't be right to remove the leading choice just because some of us don't like it.

Personally, I hope that the votes speak louder than the vocal minority. ;)

Even if I didn't like SGC, I would still defer to the majority who have voted for it.

Please don't misunderstand. While I think there are better choices out there besides 'SGC', I don't feel THAT strongly about it. If we do go with that name, my pitchfork and torch will probably remain out in the tool shed where they will continue to collect dust. Its just my feeling that we could benefit from a more creative name. If this group continues to be accepting and fun, I don't see anyone worth having around leaving over the name.

Without giving anything away, let's just say that getting an in-game mail from a powerful NPC that has as its subject "You Lying Filth" seems to indicate that I'm not very loved. :evil:

What about a middle ground using all of the most popular and a synonym for community? Maybe something like The "Stonewall Universal Gaming Society". This would show our unity as a society. Universal giving the ability for broad range of other spectrum's in the future as well.

I think the best thing right now is to keep the ones that are favorites and keep brain storming from those. Normally in order to find the perfect name you have to look at everything good and bad. An example of this... LMFAO (the band) was named because when the artist told his grandmother he was going to be a recording artist that was the text he received back.

re: Jedilicious -

Really wish there was a flowchart for all the choice permutations. Just big-picture.

I'll see if I can re-google it, but I came across a site where you would have all the possible dialogue choices as well as the corresponding point increase/decrease ....

just spent a bit searching and cannot find it. /grumble

But, I will say this - dark choices definitely do make some things rather difficult, even as a Sith Inquisitor. I've had random NPCs attack me, and twice I've made dark choices that I'm not sure there will be *major* consequences for later or if it was just part of a storyline that gets dropped.

Without giving anything away, let's just say that getting an in-game mail from a powerful NPC that has as its subject "You Lying Filth" seems to indicate that I'm not very loved. :evil:

That link above is *great* Even though I've been using the spreadsheet so far, I think I prefer this one - it's simpler, and the explanation of ranked gifts is very good to know.

As for romancing - I personally can't wait to be able to court Andronikus Revel - he's already interested. Mister "miss me, huh?"

He's about the only one I'm interested in as a Sith Inquisitor, however. :)

We may be a community of sorts but do we really need it in our name? Putting something like 'Gaming Community' in our name not only states what's already pretty obvious, it also defines and somewhat limits what we are and can be.

Being that we're so spread out, that's pretty much the only thing that's binding us together outside of being LGBT or LGBT supportive, but I understand your point.

Ah well:

'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.

But there was supposed to be some sort of ceremony between the two to do so. Claudia was chosen at that time, but now it's up in the air; anyone could take it.

I remember seeing Ashley Judd, and I do remember Kim Catrell and Kirstie Alley from the movies! That brings me back to happier times from years ago when I used to watch the movies.. I wonder if the movies are on netflix?
