Cruist,

I am glad you joined our guild for starters, but remember that this is not a complete seperation. There will be nothing holding you back from grouping with your Jedi friends. I know it may seem like a harsh serparation but both guild will be linked by the same players as well as on the Stonewall chat lines. We will encourage cross guild grouping.

My own fiance' is a Jedi and I am a Smuggler so I know exactly what you mean about being perfectly matched for each other. I know that any time I want to join him on a story mission or to help him catch up on a particularly hard planet we just need to message each other. I am friends with players from other guilds, such as our ally guild Rough Trade, and it doesn't faze us that we aren't int he same exact guild sect. We all have a common goal, saving the galaxy from the tyrany of the Emporer and the Sith.

Yes I can message anyone I want on the Republic side and team up with them anytime. I can also make video conference daily with my mom in Dubai who doesn't know I'm gay, just like I team up with some players from other guilds. If I can't be with my own friend in the same guild I guess I can just go to any guild who doesn't discriminate me based on force and send you guys messages.

Ok, however lets look at the facts here that the troopers needed to gang up in large numbers to take out each Jedi, or they had to take them out by surprise when they were in their vehicles. Not once do I see a single soldier or even 2 soldiers take out a jedi on the ground. It's always groups of them ganging up because they know that they will get cut down (Like yoda does to the soliders out to kill him) if they don't have superior numbers or surprise (ideally both) on their side.

HA, yea yea, I admit, it's a nice trick. But you have to get in close. My Force armor will block your sad little baster, my force wave will knock you off the side of a cliff. And while you laying in a pool of your own blood, I use the force to drop a large rock on your head and finish you off. FEEL THE FORCE, BITCH!! Mauhahahahahah

Re: In Game Meet & Greet?

January 14 2012
Okay I know this may not fall under the meet and greet category, but this would make an epic photo-op. I found information about the ultimate datacrom that grants +10 to all stats which you need to be level 50 to recieve and it takes at least a group of 4-6 team members working together. It is on the Republic Fleet and it can be done with more people as well which is why I figured it would be great to open it up to all level 50's down the line once more people are level 50.

I will put the details in a seperate post if enough people are interested. We can all make a deal to not get it before the event so that once we get it we can take an amazing shot in the room together. Please let me know what you guys think. Here is a Link to the site with the information and a few screenshots of a guild doing it together.

I guess I'll take one last bite here.

Zepari did bring an excellent point, by having 2 Guilds, one with Smugglers and Troopers, the other with Jedi Consular/Knight the guild bank will be tailored to those classes and allow for a greater amount of class specific storage.

On the other hand I also understand some folks frustration, in the end current members might feel they are being displaced in favour of new members. Sometimes the best policy is KISS (keep it simple), just create a new guild and invite new members into it until there's room again on KoS.

Again I support whatever you guys decide but sometimes simplicity rules the day.

Our main reasoning for not doing it like this was that we see Knights of Stonewall as sort of our flag ship guild, it's the name we use to promote and define ourselves. As such, we feel everyone should be able to have a character in Knights of Stonewall. That meant we had to decided another method to split the membership. We discussed level banding the guilds with hard and soft limits, but it was decided it would be too labor intensive to manage that with the need to invite and promote a character many times. We settled on class banding because it was a clear and defined metric to use. Since Knight is a clear Jedi term, we decided to keep it for Force users and create a new guild for non-force users.

It was sheer hilarity one night in vent when we had one huttball teammate run the wrong way and the rest of us were wondering why our opponents weren't doing anything... *giggle*

Sounds like we have a pretty good group going already. Kor, let me know when you'd like to get the group together for around or two. I like the idea that everyone is in the same tier level wise. My only fear is that as a Gunslinger most of my attacks are used from the crouch position so I may be at a slight disadvantage. We shall see.

Count me in!! I'm not the best at pvp and usually get my back side handed to me. I've done 3 pvp things in SW:Tor, 2 huttball (love it!!!!!) and one where you had to fly to the center to capture different points. I totally rotted at that one. LOL

Re: Guild PVP event

I've been doing a little bit of PvP (got a 6 ranking right now). Up until yesterday, I had only done the one where you have the turrets shooting down the ship. But FINALLY I got Huttball. Man, that was different. Think of capture the flag meets rugby meets an obstacle course. I'm a level 22 right now and usually do okay on some of the PvPs. There was one time where I absolutely rocked! But lately it seems to be getting a little harder, I'm guessing with more people getting their bonuses at level 50. But it's still fun and gives you a good break from that mission you just can't get or traveling from point A to point B when you need it.

I know the eventual goal is to have the PvP-focused Officer coordinate this type of thing, but as with everything else right now, it certainly doesn't hurt things to cobble these types of events 'unofficiallly.'

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in PVP (at least until Patch 1.1 when 50's are moved into their own Tier) everyone is promoted to the same level, so everyone, regardless of level, can participate, right?

Maybe this weekend during some of the peak times we can try to encourage an ad-hoc team on each side (assuming it's even possible to have private PvP matches).

That is correct... Everyone can participate right now... The only advantage higher levels give you are an increasing pool of abilities and dirty tricks you can use :P

Also, at 50, there's a new stat called "Expertise" that scales up your damage and healing done, and received...

Guild events don't need to be officially 'sanctioned' or preplanned months in advance. Anyone is welcome invite their fellow Stonewallers to participate in group activities.

That said, I'm up for trying to help get this one moving. With the upcoming realignment, I think this is a good time and a good way to reinforce the One Guild mentality.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in PVP (at least until Patch 1.1 when 50's are moved into their own Tier) everyone is promoted to the same level, so everyone, regardless of level, can participate in all of the PvP offerings, right?

Maybe this weekend during some of the peak times we can try to encourage an ad-hoc team on each side (assuming it's even possible to have private PvP matches) to put together a Huttball game or a battleground or two.

Anyone out there a little more experienced with PvP that maybe can help answer some of these questions?

The lack of a cross-faction custom chat channel is still a sore spot for me. ;-)

That was my point exactly. I am not a strong PVPer so I figured there would be less pressure and more fun if it was a guild group. I just hope we can stage both teams for the game so it can really be an all guild event.
