In 2010 The Southern Poverty Law Center called FRC a hate group hers a link to SPLC info on the FRC. They have powerful friends but I think there full of hot air, looking for anything to to get attention.

Just how many of the 300 pages are the same 2 dozen people repeating in the new list what they said in the old list.

Umm, don't they know Bioware has put gay relationships in their other games (Dragon Age anyone)?

How does this gay relationship even form in the story? I am not familiar with TOR game mechanics, only the ones in STO.

FRC is blowing this aspect of the game out of proportion (as with other gay-related issues). You don't see Bioware marketing the game around the whole relationship feature

I'd actually think they'd be happy because unlike real life in the game it's a choice (lol). You are given an option to flirt and typically if you do not take the first or 2nd time you loose the option all together.

Would love some Datacron runs...

Maybe you could try setting up some flashpoint nights for all levels I'm getting pretty close to 50 and as someone said above I would love an endgame flahspoint night.

I don't really wanna get 50 and sit around all the time and do dailys either so once I get 50 I'm game for any flashpoints I'm operative healer atm but would change to whatever if need be..

I'm usually grouped with Slith and hes a Jugg so we already basically have healer and tank just need some DPS to do endgame flashpoints with....

Maybe you could setup a night when people wanna do heroic quests also that would be great or world bosses and someone else mentioned that could be fun too....

In a radio bulletin called 'Rebel Fleet Surrenders to Gay Empire' the Family Research Council's Tony Perkins urged his listeners to bombard video game maker Bioware with comments over its decision to include gay relationships in its Star Wars: The Old Republic video game.

FRC President Tony Perkins said:
In a new Star Wars game, the biggest threat to the empire may be homosexual activists! Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. In a galaxy not so far far away, Star Wars gamers have already gone to the dark side. The new video game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, has added a special feature: gay relationships. Bioware, the company that developed the game, said it's launching a same-sex romance component to satisfy some complaints. That surprised a lot of gamers, since Bioware had made it clear in 2009 that "gay" and "lesbian" don't exist in the Star Wars universe. Since the announcement, homosexuals have been celebrating the news, but parents sure aren't. On the game's website, there are more than 300 pages of comments--a lot of them expressing anger that their kids will be exposed to this Star Warped way of thinking. You can join them by logging on and speaking up. It's time to show companies who the Force is really with!

This is an anti-gay attack in our own backyard. What do you guys think we should do about this?

I just spoke with my Sith, Lord Vondur, and this is what he thinks.

Datacron Runs -- sure, for some of the easier ones. I think the jumping ones would be worth pointing out starting points and how to do it, but could get crazy/frustrating with a lot of people doing it.
World Bosses -- Definitely
Heroics -- Absolutely
Questing -- Fo' shizzle
Flash Points -- Multiple easily done

As part of the questing, we could join one member for their quests on a planet for a while (possibly with/without class quests based on opposition, curiosity, etc.), help level up lower level members, and just try to get around the galaxy in general. Lord Vondur doesn't agree with this. Apparently he doesn't like helping people. Wait...wait...what are you doing???? [Shock.]

Jon-

If you haven't already seen it, I have set up a reoccurring "Imperial Invasion" event encouraging people with Republic primaries to roll and play an Imperial alt on Thursdays and Sundays. I've only heard rumors about the total number of people online, so if it helps, those might be days to plan events that might require grouping like Heroics or Flashpoints.

Anytime in the evening or late evening. Since I have hit 50 there is not a lot to do, and I loathe leveling alts. I am pretty much stuck with daily grind, but would love a group for heroic 50s, and the 50s flash points.

We will need practice for coordinating operating runs requiring larger groups of people.

How to take a Screenshots/Get them on the web

January 27 2012
I started this thread in order to help people understand how to take screenshots as well as possibly help with any issues anyone may have. Before taking a screenshot you want to check a few settings in game.

You must be in "Windowed" mode in order for this to work. If you want to play the game in Full Screen you can use "Fullscreen (Windowed)" and it will look the same. To change these settings use the ESC (Escape Key) and choose Preferences. Then select Graphics under graphics there will be a general area at the top (pictured in image below).

Ensure that you are either in Windowed or Fullscreen (Windowed) then proceed to the next step.

While in the game you can press Print Screen key which is typically located in the top right hand area of your keyboard by the "F12" and above the "Home" but may vary depending on your keyboard set up.

There is no visual que in game that a screen shot has been taken. Although you may see the screen jump slightly. If you want to take a screenshot without the UI (User Interface) visable then ALT+Z will toggle this on and off.

Once you have taken your screen shot it is automatically stored on your computer under "Documents" or "My Documents" (depending on Windows version) then in a folder named Star Wars - The Old Republic. Inside of that folder will be one named Screenshots and it should have all the screenshots you have taken in game.

If you want to post your screenshot on the forums there are free solutions you can use to host your files for you.
Once you have your files hosted you will want the url to your image and then click on the icon in the Boardcode section of a new post. Paste in the url and press insert and you are done!

Any questions, comments or anything you want to add feel free to post them and I will make sure to help with anything I can!

I'm ok at PVP. I would like to know what day or days you plan on doing it because most the time I get to sit there and do stuff by myself. I work weekends and most the time things are done on the weekends. It is just a question won't hurt my feelings either way. I can kill on my own!

I work second shift on weekends as well. My primary game days are wed to fri. I also have people willing to run pvp on weekends but I will primarily do it during the week

Dakon I'm going to switch gears on you. :) I'll remove myself from the Tuesday low level data hunt and try to get those on Varro solo.

I'll sign up to lead the data Balmorra datacron hunt since I'll know where most of them are and can help guild folks to them.

Van,

Let me know when you are going for it I can help you if you need it. The ones after Balmorra are like a vacation to get. Most of them are lying on the ground with little to no jumping required. Did you by chance get the MPS from vendor on Alderaan? You will need it for two more datacrons in the future.

-Kevin ~ Captain Xal Starlighter

I may wait for the locked box on Balmorra since once you open it anyone can pick up the datacron, would be nice to get as many guildies as possible the datacron without spending lots of credits.

I agree and love the hunt for datacrons on Balmorra. No jumping around and falling to my death. LOL

I've not been to Alderaan for anything more then my class quest so need to do all those datacrons. Where is the vendor on Alderaan for the item?

I signed up for the low level datacrons with Varro as he needs to get those.

I'm doing the datacrons on Balmorra with Theodin and wanted to give some info. I found out that the datacrons are different for each side. Example: What I thought was the +4 strength datacron turned out to be +4 Presence. I was confused but after searching the web I found out that sometimes the datacrons are different depending if your empire or republic.

Last nite I picked up the eazy pizzy ones: +4 Presence and +4 Will Power.

Tonite before our pvp fun I'm going to try for the +4 endurance (it maybe +3 as different sites have it at different value) and +4 aim (thou I'm not sure I went to spend 5K credits just to get a stat I don't need)

OOh!! for the +4 aim, it's a box that you have to buy a key for. The key costs 5K and once you open the box it stays open for 3 min so folks can get it as long as your there.
