Not that I ever say much anywhere here or in-game, but... I'd like to chime in now. I tend to agree with CJ. I've leveled my trooper to 50 in SoS and have been on nearly every day and there is usually no more than 2 to 3 people on with me. Many times I am on SoS by myself. There's something disheartening about seeing a '1' after the Guild count in the UI. Makes you feel really detached.

Now I know there is the KoS channel which is great, and I understand the thinking behind the guild banks. However, it is more difficult to see who is online in the other guild and you are not able to view the member notes or rank. It's much easier to just hit 'g' and see everyone and who they are. And I think the guild bank tabs are going to be very expensive so we may have to find resources for two banks. I saw 5M in one early screenshot and I'm assuming that means million, but we'll see with the upcoming economy tuning.

I'm sure re-merging would be a major pain, but I believe that option should be considered after the roster clean up is done and see what the numbers are. Unless KoS is expecting a large infusion of players it seems that we can all live under one roof. And SoS doesn't have to go anywhere, just put some non playing alts in there and keep it around in the event it's needed again in the future.

Thanks for the read

Personally I do not see why we should wait for "a good reason by Bioware for remerging the guilds". Once the housekeeping on the membership has been completed the population of a merged KoS and SoS will be will be still be under 400 like it is now.

This leaves more than enough room to grow. Also keep in mind the housekeeping will keep the population dropping even as we get new members each week.

We have at most 10-15 players on at peak times and it is mostly the same people. There is no need for a split, all it does is make the game harder to play as a community.

Lets start doing what our community needs instead of working around things or waiting on Bioware. Myself and and others on the republic side who play most often see this as an important step to build and strengthen our community in game.

I volunteered to help improve things on the republic side and I think this is one of the priorities.

P.S. I think Theodin was standing on the left of the picture.

Cheers,
CJ

I agree 100% with this as do most of the regular players on the republic side. We want to strength our community not keep it divided.
Yes I will lend a hand in what is needed to get this cleaned up. There is great potetntal for the guild.

Yeppers I was on the left hand side of the picture right next to the lightsaber. I was there when you gave out the 5min warning for folks to show up. Sorry I wasn't there when the grp formed as folks said we where waiting 30min.

I for one cant wait for this to come out, ive been part of the modding and BATting community for a long time and an admin for a sc4 fnsite for almost 5 years.

After "simcity socities" i almost lost faith that we'd see a proper sequel to the game. Good to be wrong!

Agreed. I had such high hopes for Societies, and it did absolutely nothing for me. Some of the ideas behind it were still nice, though. It just wasn't a full game really. It also seemed to have a few bugs that never got fixed.

Caesar, however, was a great line of games as was Pharaoh.

I really have no right to comment on Rick Santorum as I don't live in the US, and can only watch in horror as this idiot gets closer to the White House, but...

I think that as a public figure, Rick Santorum is not being bullied, he is being challenged in the same forum he uses to sway public opinion in his favour. I think the whole "santorum" redifinition was a little childish, but it's success helped show all those kids in the US who have been upset by his words and the resultant "gay-bashing" that his opinions are not the most popular ones and that there is plenty of support out there for them.

Let's not forget that words can be just as harmful a sticks and stones, but also remember that he threw the first stone.

OMG, I didn't think I'd cut anyone out of the picture. What time were you on and I'll go back and see if I can find a screenshot with you in it Van?

P.S. the Soldiers of Stonewall guild is still the active guild for all Trooper and Smuggler characters until we are given a good reason by Bioware for remerging the guilds. We also need to ensure we have the capacity in KoS as well. My comment on the Crafting benefits for two guilds is that we can have rare gear in each bank that is specific to the classes that use that bank.

Unfortunately the forces of evil at work will not abide by that same rule. They have waged an all out war on us, our lives, our families, and or freedoms. We CAN NOT just sit back and turn the other cheek. I agree with you 99% of the time; "kill them with kindness" has always been a life motto of mine. But I do not think that is enough in this circumstance. I want to be able to tell my children in 20 years, that this was a tough time in our lives, but we were victorious because we dint give up, we did not surrender, we did not hide. We fought for what was right and we won. Now don't misconstrue this and violence, because I wholly oppose that tactic as well. We must make ourselves heard, and let everyone know what we will not keep quiet. This IS that final leg of the civil rights movement. We have won so many battles in this march towards freedom. We cant let things like this deter us from the ultimate goal of equal right for everyone under the law. The tactics of Mr. Savage may be distasteful, but they are effective.

Re: Santorum

March 12 2012
I've fought my own bullies and other peoples bullies with both words and my fist. I do see that Santorum is our enemy but I also believe in Dr. King's words "Loving Your Enemies." It's so basic to me because it is a part of my basic philosophical and theological orientation—the whole idea of love, the whole philosophy of love. In the fifth chapter of the gospel as recorded by Saint Matthew, we read these very arresting words flowing from the lips of our Lord and Master: "Ye have heard that it has been said, 'Thou shall love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.' But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you;
that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven."

So this morning, as I look into your eyes, and into the eyes of all of my brothers in Alabama and all over America and over the world, I say to you, "I love you. I would rather die than hate you." And I'm foolish enough to believe that through the power of this love somewhere, men of the most recalcitrant bent will be transformed. And then we will be in God's kingdom. We will be able to matriculate into the university of eternal life because we had the power to love our enemies, to bless those persons that cursed us, to even decide to be good to those persons who hated us, and we even prayed for those persons who despitefully used us.
