Ok I'd like to extend my thanks again to all the players who have donated credits toward the guild banks. I admit I was pleasently shocked when I saw how many people had donated and how much had been donated, especially since everyone had to go to the extra effort of sending the credits to me by mail. Thankfully you can all donate direct to the bank now and enjoy the benefits of being able to pool our resources.

Anyway, I'd like to post the names of all the characters who have donated so far, so we can all thank them next time we see them in-game, lol. As every credit counts I won't state how much anyone has donated, I just want to thank you all!

I don't like the norn or the charr, I like to play good looking characters (does that make me shallow? :p). So I think I'll make a human but since I know the human side so well ill probably play in the norn or charr areas.

At launch I'm going to be a sylvari necromancer.

For this beta weekend, probably a norn ranger.

We have now received enough donations to open the guild banks on both the Republic and Empire side of the game. I'd like to thank everyone who donated and I will post a list of all the characters who donated soon.

We have recieved 654,500 credits on the Republic side and 896,183 on the Empire side, so far! Thank you all!

Future donations can now be made directly to the guild banks! We need 1 million credits each for the next tab in either bank.

Please be careful when depositing credits as you cannot withdraw any credits should you accidentally donate too much. If you do, please PM and Officer to ask for a refund. Refunds will only be made in the case of genuine errors.

I have set up some preliminary withdrawal permissions as follows, but these may be changed once we get a better idea of how the bank is being used. If you have any problems with the bank, please send a message to me or an Officer.

Rank:.......Withdrawal Limit:
Captain.........100 items per week. (To aid with bank maintenance)
Member.........50 items per week.
Cadet............20 items per week.
Recruit............0 items per week.

Remember: Only an Officer can withdraw credits so only deposit funds you wish to donate to the guild for more bank tabs.

If you are a Cadet and wish to become a full Member, all you need to do is start an Introduction thread in the Start Here!! section of the forums and wait 14 days. If you have already posted an Introduction for Stonewall Fleet or Stonewall Vanguard, you don't need to post again. if you have posted an Introduction more than 14 days ago and are still at the Cadet rank, please let me or Ltervlet know as soon as possible via PM.

If you are at the Recruit rank ingame, that means we are unable to link your character name to an active account on this website, so please ensure you have added your username to your in-game Member note as anyone who is at a recruit for 7 days without doing so will be removed from the guild.

Once again thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and please remember to only deposit items in the bank that you think will be useful to other players. The guild bank is not a dumping ground for unwanted items, but if the unwanted item has a high value, then please consider selling it and donating the proceeds instead.

That is certainly an excellent suggestion, Kiddkasper. Unfortunately, human nature being what it is I don't think many people would want to go through the steps (and not everyone has toons on both sides). We were trying to come up with an extremely easy, "no excuse for not doing it" method to hopefully increase the donations received for the banks and Zepari's name is much more recognizable than Zepi's. That and I don't think I could fit those instructions in the MOTD. It's such a pain to send messages or post anything in-game as the space to do so is so drastically limited you practically have to put everything in some sort of shorthand code. I am sure I am just stating the obvious though as you are already aware of these issues...:) When I send anyone an in-game message about their forum name, I have to decide what important detail to leave out, otherwise I end up sending 2 or more messages and losing the reader after the 2nd sentence. :huh: But I digress....I guess we'll just have to leave it like it is and hope people come through but I am really concerned about not getting guild banks due to the outrageous cost involved. I truly hope members aren't actually expecting someone to pony up the 600,000 credits because that's not the responsibility of any of the Officers nor any one member. It's a collective responsibility of all members. (Now I'll get off my soapbox because this is common knowledge, at least I hope it is. ;))

can't you mail it to your own toon on the other side and then mail it to Zep's toon? a bit of a pain, I know, but would that work?
