Attention, Captain!

The High Command has new orders for you! You will proceed at once to the Eta Eridani sector block for assignment. Exact coordinates will be transmitted to you on a coded frequency when you arrive.

Our intelligence network has uncovered the position of a Vulcan science vessel adrift, in a system wrought with violent nebulae and plasma storms. They appear to be in some sort of distress. Our sources tell us that there is a substantial amount of Trellium-D in the vessel's cargo hold... a substance we know to destroy the higher brain functions of Vulcans, and possibly other species as well.

You will board the Vulcan ship and retrieve the Trellium for weapons research study by the high command! This is a child's task, unworthy of a warrior of your... influence. Unfortunately, for you, your reputation for ruthlessness has preceded you, and some influential people in the high command think that you are the right warrior to deal with this particular handful of pacifist Vulcan scientists!

We have heard that the Federation has dispatched a rescue team of their own... be sure to greet them... appropriately! Fail this mission, and I will personally carve out your heart and feed it to my Targ!

Q'pla!

What:
All members of the House of Nagh'Red are now also invited to this event. Be sure to form teams of two, with another fleet-mate of KDF allegiance.

Remember:
You may only participate in the event once. You may choose to participate with either your Federation or KDF toon, but you may not participate with both characters, as the event prizes are awarded out of the same prize pool, regardless of faction.

Event overview:
Ten days ago, a Vulcan science vessel resupplied at Drazona station, before embarking on what was supposed to be, a six month, deep-space survey mission. Approximately seven days ago, the Vulcans lost contact with their vessel and had been unable to locate it, until receiving word from an El-Aurian freighter, that they'd passed by a distressed Vulcan ship, adrift in the Eta Eridani sector block.

While the freighter was unable to render aid, they transmitted their scans of the vessel to the Vulcans. The scans disturbingly revealed 140 unstable life signs, as well as a substantial amount of Trellium-D in the cargo hold; a substance known to destroy the higher brain functions of Vulcans. At this time it is suspected, that the dangerous cargo was intentionally and surreptitiously transferred to the Vulcan ship, by person(s) unknown.

Starfleet is ordering you to assemble an elite rescue squad consisting of yourself and one other Starfleet officer from Stonewall fleet. You will be deployed to the last known coordinates of the Vulcan vessel on a mission to board the ship, assess whether or not the crew can be rescued, and take whatever measures are possible to treat the crew and contain the exposure.

Pack an environmental suit, flashlight and battle gear, Captain. If the crew suffered long-term exposure to the compound, their behavior could be aggressive and unpredictable.

What:
Players will form teams of two, and will be guided by an event host (Fleet Captain), through a Foundry mission as described above. The mission will have various timed objectives. Teams will be ranked on their speed, survival and number objectives completed. The highest ranking teams will have access to the highest valued prizes.

Who:
The event is open to all Federation and KDF members of Stonewall Fleet, Deep Space Stonewall or the House of Nagh'Red.

When:
October 31st, 2012 (Wednesday) 3:00 PM PST to 12:00 AM PST

Episode 732 - Enterprise - "These Are the Voyages..." - 05/13/2005

http://www.allstepisodes.com/megvid.php?n=5422

Two centuries in the future, two crew members of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) (Commander William T. Riker and Counselor Deanna Troi) observe a holodeck creation of the final voyage of the NX-01 in 2161 (six years after the events of "Terra Prime") as it returns to Earth for decommissioning and the signing of the United Federation of Planets charter.

Enjoy!

NOTE: Sadly, this episode marks the end of our journey through Enterprise and WOW was it a great one! Starting tomorrow, we will finish the movie era with Nemesis and the Star Trek 2009. And then, the Journey will be complete :( Mixed emotions, but it's been an amazing ride :) I hope you'll stick around these final two days. /tear

Endgame organization..dungeons? WvWvW?

September 21 2012
Hi:

For those of us that have hit 80-what have you been up to? I've been working on getting my exotic gear, doing WvWvW, and working on my alts(Mesmer guardian necro ranger)

If anyone needs help with anything please let vae/me know! We'd be up for doing dungeons or just helping out.

On a completely random note I took down a guardian while fighting two others in spvp..amazing rush as eles are tough to play(IMO a little gimp) in this area. If he knew what he was doing it would have been over. Of course his team members took me out afterwards.

Re: StonewallFleet.com Domain

September 21 2012
Actually, I was a bit impatient so I went ahead and hammered out some more advanced redirects. Now, when someone clicks on a link that points to saystonewallfleet.com/network they'll automatically be redirect to fleet.stonewallgaming.net/network. This will also work with our myriad of search entries on Google and other search engines that helped us recruit new users.

StonewallFleet.com Domain

September 21 2012

A few weeks ago, our dutiful Fleet Captain, Voleron, told me that stonewallfleet.com was up for auction, much to my surprise. (In my previous contact with GoDaddy they told me the domain wouldn't be available for at-least 6 months.) I was able to bid on the domain and win it back! As of today, the domain is firmly in our possession and I've set up a simple redirect from it to our new address at fleet.stonewallgaming.net.

In the future, I'll be doing something a bit more advanced so that old URLs are redirected to their matching page on the new domain and be updating all of our search results to use this domain.

Now that Bioware has "consolidated" the servers...

September 21 2012
Well Bioware has gone and totally consolidated the servers and we are left with 8 servers total for the entire game. Unfortunately, that means there are now 2 guilds each for Knights of Stonewall and Lords of Stonewall on The Harbinger server. They are distinguishing all the guilds by adding the server name to the end of the guild name. So we have Knights of Stonewall@The Harbinger and Knights of Stonewall@The Jek'Jekk'Tarr with the same naming convention for Lords of Stonewall.

I have opened a ticket to see if there is some way to recombine both guilds so we don't have to figure out how to get invites to 40+ toons but haven't heard back from Customer Service as of yet. I'll post updates as soon as I know anything. :)

I've never played GW2 but Stonewall is active or has a presence in a few other games right now. I'd recommend The Secret World if you haven't already played it.

Re: So What Constitutes Maturity

September 21 2012
I’m glad this post got bumped, I’d forgotten all about it and had meant to comment because I just turned 30 on Monday. Maturity to me is learned system of behavior based on the sum of our life experiences in order to help us accomplish our goals as we move through life. I don’t know that a genetic predisposition towards or against maturity has as strong or far-reaching an influence compared to all of life’s potential curve balls. Is there such a thing as preprogramed traits in our genetic codes? Sure, but like my favorite pirates say; I think they’re really more like guidelines. As human beings our greatest trait is our ability to learn, adapt and grow beyond what some seem to consider our original programming.

I will concede that there are certain base traits that can’t really be overridden like sexual preference; was I born liking boys? No, I was a baby for heaven’s sake! Was I born to like boys when I got a little older? Oh my, yes ! but it would take many years to come to grips with that fact. Looking back I can now see the signs and I’m sure my parents did too. Was I always mild mannered and calm? Yeah, pretty much. When a child acts older than their years it’s called being precocious- a delightful word- but it doesn’t mean that they were born with a charm school degree embedded in their DNA, they could have learned the behavior from any number of sources not counting their parents. I feel I need to point out that kids learn a lot more from their parents then just what their parents intend to teach them. They watch, they listen and they learn all the time and those tiny, barely developed wheels begin to turn.
My family agrees that I’m very much like my maternal Grandfather, he died when I was 10. I take it as an amazingly humbling compliment because he was the kindest, most hard working and unselfish person I’ve ever known and he did everything he could for his family without complaint until it pretty much killed him. Minus the working to death part I strive to follow his example and it was a long time before I began to take on a similar role in my own family. At the time I didn’t want it; I wanted to finish college and enjoy my newfound social life and pursue all of my own interests. I had to take over my fraternal Grandmother’s affairs and household because my Dad was irresponsibly running it into the ground like a self-indulgent teenager with a very overblown sense of entitlement. He was pulling some shenanigans with her bank and her retirement funds and I had to step in and be the adult even though I didn’t know what the heck I was doing and things got rather cold between us. He wasn’t always like that and he taught me a lot about being easygoing and he made sure me and my younger siblings had a pretty cool childhood.

When I was little I resented my Mom for all the rules and limitations and dictates she tried to put on me; teaching me how to do chores, cleaning my room, not going out until I finished my homework, disciplining me when I’d been bad. As an adult I completely get it now, because I learned my lesson and it stuck, the problem is that some lessons don’t always stick or something traumatic happens to create a new set of behavioral patterns. Case in point: my little brother was with my Grandfather when he died, he was 7 years old. My Grandpa suffered a massive heart attack right outside of the Doctor’s office, they later said that he was dead before his head even hit the ground. My brother had to hold his head in his lap while my Grandmother ran in to get help. My brother has been in jail 4 times and in prison twice for drug use, dealing and trafficking in stolen merchandise. He was always the more aggressive one, more rambunctious and energetic but my Grandpa knew how to channel that into constructive pursuits because they were both really good with their hands and machines. I wonder what my little brother would have been like if he’d had Grandpa in his life for a few more years.

So for me maturity is about being a big boy in as many facets of your life as you can. Responsibility is key and putting aside your wants and needs for a something that is more important than yourself. I don’t think using one’s peers is the best frame of reference for determining maturity because one: it can indicate an underlying need for others approval and two: Depending on the group and circumstances, it can potentially be way too subjective. But inside, yeah I do still feel like a kid. Less awkward and a lot less melodramatic or focused on myself, and I learned a while ago that acting mature is the best way to make friends and lead an enjoyable life. I suppose at first you could say I was faking it, but after a while it became second nature, but I don’t think it was ever first nature.

September 21 2012
there was a Reddit forum where people posted their character name as well as their server and everytime people would post they would say something like 'i know for a fact that i didnt say anything offensive in chat!'

somebody from Anet support was responding and would post for everybody to see, uncensored mind you, the reason people had been banned. while this provided MUCH hilarity when people were revealed to be outright lying about not having done anything.

most of the bans that people have received were well worth it in my opinion
