Re: Anyone want to play SWTOR

October 13 2012
Sorry you had such a bad encounter. Unfortunately, I've heard of several similar complaints about Origin. One thing that is good is the price. It used to cost upwards of $60.00 to buy the game. They dropped the price about the same time they started talking about the game going F2P in November.

Anyone want to play SWTOR

October 12 2012
Hi. I accidentily got charged for 2 copies of the game when i ordered via origin. I ordered the digitel standard edition andthey somehow concealed 2 codes in one order, but charged me for 2. I contacted them and they say they have no record of that. Yet my credit card says otherwise. So im reaching out to anyone who wants to play. Ill sell it (the code) for $14.00. Im really pissed about this sneaky crap origin pulls. I will not ever order form them again. :( Please send me a msg if your interested.

Re: HALLOWEEN FLEET EVENT!

Araa,

I've re-posted this thread in the Public Lounge section of the forums. It's accessible by guests to the site. The link is:

http://fleet.stonewallgaming.net/forums/public-lounge/50108-halloween-fleet-event-public-thread#50109

Something to consider is that the event takes between 12 - 25 minutes to run (our testing results), depending on the skill level of the group. It's not just a mission that you can pick up off the list... it needs to be hosted by an event host.

As it stands, on Halloween (the first event day), at certain times, I'll be the only one available to host this event. Go easy on the referrals, because I'm not sure how many groups I'll be able to handle on my own, or with our limited resources, bearing in mind that Stonewall Fleet members will be given priority over those who aren't members.

Hope this addresses everything! :)

Attention, Captain!

The High Command has new orders for you! You will proceed at once to the Eta Eridani sector block for assignment. Exact coordinates will be transmitted to you on a coded frequency when you arrive.

Our intelligence network has uncovered the position of a Vulcan science vessel adrift, in a system wrought with violent nebulae and plasma storms. They appear to be in some sort of distress. Our sources tell us that there is a substantial amount of Trellium-D in the vessel's cargo hold... a substance we know to destroy the higher brain functions of Vulcans, and possibly other species as well.

You will board the Vulcan ship and retrieve the Trellium for weapons research study by the high command! This is a child's task, unworthy of a warrior of your... influence. Unfortunately, for you, your reputation for ruthlessness has preceded you, and some influential people in the high command think that you are the right warrior to deal with this particular handful of pacifist Vulcan scientists!

We have heard that the Federation has dispatched a rescue team of their own... be sure to greet them... appropriately! Fail this mission, and I will personally carve out your heart and feed it to my Targ!

Q'pla!

What:
All members of the House of Nagh'Red are now also invited to this event. Be sure to form teams of two, with another fleet-mate of KDF allegiance.

Remember:
You may only participate in the event once. You may choose to participate with either your Federation or KDF toon, but you may not participate with both characters, as the event prizes are awarded out of the same prize pool, regardless of faction.

Actually, a patented Araa Super Brilliant Idea (AraasBI), how about you just put the information in the 'caption' section of the youtube video! That way they get the full video treatment AND explicit details from you on how to follow up... Lemme know if this works.

On the recruitment angle, we could even use it to formally extend an invitation to the House of Mattachine. Just sayin'.

P.S. I'd still list the prizes, even if the text is intended for non-fleeties. Helps to show what fleetie benefits look like. :-)

Awesome.. I'll interpret that as "Sure, mention it and send any interested non-fleeties to me until I say stop!".

Does it require much extra effort on your part to add them? We could post in the forums (e.g., with a recruiting message), but I'll let you guys take care of that if you see fit.

In any case, is there a public link to your poster that we can refer them to? I assume they won't be able to easily access this thread directly... if not I'll work out something.

Re: HALLOWEEN FLEET EVENT!

Araa,

Thanks for reminding me about the event listing on the KDF side. I will list the event there shortly!

The event prizes have been donated from members of the Stonewall community, to be put back into the community. Essentially what this means is that while prizes are exclusive to fleet members who hold a minimum rank of 'member' in any of the Stonewall fleets, I wouldn't be completely opposed to taking members from other fleets through our 'haunted house', if they're wanting to see what it's all about.

As it stands right now, I have one team from another fleet that would like to participate in the event. I'm allowing them to do so, with the understanding that they're running the event for fun, and that they won't qualify for prizes. I wouldn't be opposed to allowing more teams from outside of the fleets, but Stonewall community members receive first priority :)

Two questions Voleron:

1. Do you want us to start a separate Fleet Event to allow kdfers to RSVP from the House with our kdf toons?

2. What was decided regarding external promotion? Do you want us to advertise this publicly or keep it to fleeties?

Cheers,
Araa/John

EVENT UPDATE!

Stonewall fleet members of the House of Nagh'Red (KDF) are now welcome to participate in this event! See the second post on page one of this thread for details of the KDF faction's involvement in this incident!

Also, please note the change to the award ceremony day and time.

If somebody has any of the components for them it may also be worth trying to get a crafter to make them. I believe the runes use a gold crafting drop or at least the lower tier ones i have seen do.

IN GAME ITEMS OR CRAFTING: OFFERS & REQUESTS

(I'm hoping this will become a "sticky-thread," so it doesn't get lost for lack of being bumped, so we don't have to search the threads for it.)

I really could use help from the guild getting:

Superior Rune of Divinity (x6)

The market value of them is around 2 gold each, and even if I could afford them (which I can't)...they are never for sale....have checked constantly for them on trading post. I know how much they are worth but if there is anyone who gets these and you are not going to use them....PLEASE...considering a goodwill donation for my main....I don't have alts so this would help my main greatly get the runes I need for my character. Even a guild price would be better than nothing. Thank you so much if you can help. :)

ps: (IF I get any of these runes I will immediately update the amount I currently have, so I don't get more than what I need.)

The official website went down due to high traffic yesterday which is why I have linked the back up site ^ up there.

But it's back up now!

I don't know how many of you have had a look but there's a pretty extensive (well two actually) FAQ's on the main page as as well as a write-up about the game.

To quote a few things:

Not a subscription but not free-to-play; rather a hybrid of these two business models. Much like ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2, you will purchase the PC game and pay no recurring subscription charges. Your purchase of the game will allow you to play in the universe for free, forever! The game will offer a variety of virtual items for purchase with in-game credits allowing you to spend money on items that offer more ways to express yourself, provide convenience, and customize your experience. But the cardinal rule regarding "in-game purchases" is: Players who spend money purchasing in-game credits will have no advantage over players who spend time!
Everything is bought with in-game credits. These purchases won't offer any advantage over someone who puts in the "game-time" to earn the same amount of credits. You might ask, why have "in-game" purchases at all? This allows us the resources to support the game on an ongoing basis as well as continually add content.

There will be public servers that we host for the main universe/game. The universe is going to be a persistent living entity, where your actions, (discovering a jump point and successfully navigating its jump for the first time, designing a ship for sale in the online shops, winning a key in-game battle etc.), will be woven into the history and lore of the game.

Even though there are other alien races, we're beginning with the human side of it. The Star Citizen universe has evolved into a futuristic version of the Roman Empire. We thought it would be very interesting to have Citizenship be something that you don't automatically receive. It's something you have to earn through civic duty or military service. It's a way to create a class system, which creates the potential for conflict among various groups and players.
