The Legacy system allows you to mail non-bound items or credits between any toon on your account regardless of faction. You can't do that with any toon NOT on your account, however. Legacy is enabled after you complete Chapter 1 on your 1st toon. The Legacy system entered the game during update 1.2 about 8 months ago. :)

It was rumored for quite a while that you would need an opposite faction legacy toon in order to obtain the assassin droid HK-51. I don't think they've specified the level that toon has to be but the rumor was saying around level 25-30 and the toon trying to unlock HK-51 would have to be level 50. ;)

Hey everybody, don't forget that you can vote everyday!

I currently have 22 votes and am in 7th place! First place is a small guild of just 500 players, we can surely beat them!

Re: Prices for purchasing Cartel Coins outlined

November 17 2012
They just randomly gave varying amounts of Cartel Coins on the ptr for people to test the Cartel Store. On the live server, you are granted a total amount for how long you subscribed with various other complimentary amounts depending on if you had an authenticator for the game, whether you purchased the Collector's Edition or Digital upgrade of the game, etc. That total is not a per character total either, it's per account. Each of your characters can use coins from that total but whatever amount you use on each character is deducted from that total. There is a thread a couple of spaces down from the current thread entitled "Check out how many Cartel Coins you may receive!" that has a link to see how many coins you were going to get but at the time I posted that the list apparently wasn't complete as I received more than it said I was going to get there. Subscribers are also going to get coins added to their account each month. The base amount I believe is 500 but there are a couple of instances where you could get more than that per month.

perhaps it's an either/or option?

I agree about the prices being much better than STO's but I found it sort of confusing. I thought I'd have much more cartel points then I did. Are they supposed to be evenly distributed across all your characters? I had like 23,000 on the test server and now only have about 3,000 per character.

Heya. I'm in need of an invite to both KoS and LoS. I'm a sub payer.

Thanks

There better be some way, to get HK-51 you need a part from the other factions capitol world. You need a part from the sith temple on dromund kaas and another part from the jedi temple on coruscant.

Re: General Questions Topic

November 16 2012
I don't believe you can. The walls they have around each faction are pretty thick.

Re: Prices for purchasing Cartel Coins outlined

The prices don't look too bad to be honest, comparative to STO. Its nice that you get more coins per dollar the more you spend. I've always thought it was stupid that STO doesn't do that.

F2P Accounts unable to log into custom channels

Hopefully as they get feedback they will adjust the restrictions. I haven't gotten a chance to check out the update :(.

Re: X needs an Invite

The thread is stickied so bumping doesn't have any affect. Yezar will have to post a reply for me to be able to do anything. F2P accounts can't log into our customized chat channels so that option for contact is out. I will need to know when he plans on playing and we'll probably have to use vent to coordinate our meeting. That's what we did today when another member contacted me by PM to let me know of the issue with custom chat channels. I've added new instructions to the post in the Start Here! section about how to join the SWTOR guilds but this is going to be a serious problem for potential new members or members that are going to use F2P to return. Thank you Bioware, NOT!

Re: F2P Accounts unable to log into custom channels

I can't believe Bioware did this. What is it supposed to accomplish? It certainly does nothing to enhance any social aspects of the game just makes it harder to do anything in the F2P model. I personally think they went way to far with the level of their restrictions and I think it's seriously going to come around to bite them severely. :( They keep shooting themselves in the foot to the point it has to be amputated and have moved on to other body parts.

Prices for purchasing Cartel Coins outlined

November 16 2012
Prices for purchasing Cartel Coins is outlined on the SWTOR website. The basic amount is $4.99 for 450 coins with other options for buying more and the option to purchase 5500 coins at the same is being touted as the best value.

When I logged in, there was a warning that the link to purchase more coins through the Cartel Store was taking people to the wrong website and the link above is where they actually want you to go to purchase coins. This, unfortunately isn't the only problem being experienced so far which is making F2P not such a wonderful thing at the moment. They game is going down for 2 hours tomorrow with a patch to follow so hopefully, they are going to fix what they've broken. I'm not holding my breath....

F2P Accounts unable to log into custom channels

November 16 2012
Our first F2P member joined Lords of Stonewall today. I discovered through him that F2P accounts are unable to log into custom chat channels such as our KOS and LOS chat channels, nor are they able to use the "/who" feature to find someone online in either guild. This is EXTREMELY unfortunate because those chat channels are how potential new members are currently able to contact guild members and ask for invites to the guilds. Our new member was already registered on the website so contacted me by PM to let me know of the issue. For now, we will have to continue with having potential members contact me via PM for invites and I will add this to the instructions in the Start Here! forum instructions but if anyone can think of a better method to accomplish this so it is easier for potential members to access that would be WONDERFUL! :)
