Addtional Details: A graduate of Starfleet Medical's research track, Mindor Kal spent his first years in Starfleet working in planetside research laboratories as opposed to serving as a doctor on a starship. However, emergency deployment to assist with a mercy mission on a far flung colony gave him a taste for the unknown of the final frontier. Since then, Mindor has made a name for himself as a 'researcher on the frontier', taking rotating assignments through Starfleet's ships to conduct research and medical engineering projects that are more applicable to the needs of Starfleet's mission of exploration and defense.

Hi, everyone! I'm Eric. I'm 29 and live in the San Francisco Bay Area (and grew up here, too).

I'm actually not a new member; I joined Stonewall back during the launch of STO. About a year ago I ended up taking a break from the game, partly because my life got busy, but also partly just because I felt I'd done all I could in the game. However, I recently got an itch to come back. I'm a huge Trekkie, always have been, and the recent Star Trek 2 trailer sealed the deal.

I'm updating my game as I write this, so here here some tidbits about me:

-- I'm a scientist, first and foremost. I recently got my doctorate and am now conducting research into biomedical optics for my postdoc.

-- My hobbies (in addition to gaming and Star Trek) include martial arts and fitness, singing, and writing.

-- With regard to writing, I've actually written a few STO/Stonewall fiction pieces. In addition to the Stonewall stories (which I'm flattered and honored to see are still stickied!), I also wrote a series of stories about my main ship, the USS Pandora.

-- In addition to Star Trek, I'm also a massive Whovian. I can't wait for the Christmas special and the return of Oswin!

And I see Starbases are finally in the game! Good lord, I trust Stonewall's is the most fabulous of them all?

Im not sure it has one yet, they have not even really gotten into beta, that i know of.

Starting Monday, December 9^th, we'll be enabling the "Purchase from Fleet Store" permission to the Member rank in Stonewall Fleet, Deep Space Stonewall and House of Nagh reD. This will allow Members to purchase items from the Fleet Store on the Starbase and Embassy in all of our fleets. As well, we'll be lifting the previous limits. We only ask that Members consider the needs of their fellow fleet members when purchasing items in large quantities.

The rank progression will then be as follows: Recruits can neither donate to Projects or purchase from Fleet Stores, Cadets can donate to Projects, but not purchase from Fleet Stores, Members can donate to Projects and purchase from Fleet Stores.

If you're currently a Cadet and would like to become a Member, please make an introductory post in the Start Here section of our forums. After that, if you've already had a character in the fleet for two weeks or more, upon request, we'll bypass the normal two-week waiting period and promote you to Member.

In the event that we drop below 25 Fleet Ship Provisions, Engineering Personal Provisions or Science Personal Provisions, we'll revert back to the current system while our supply builds back up. We're aware that we're currently below that limit for our Embassy provisions and we hope that with the assistance of our membership we can quickly build one up for all members to enjoy.

On another note, I want to thank everyone who made their position on this matter clear in the "A Gentle Reminder" thread. You're thoughts and positions on matters that affect the fleet are always important to us. Although, a debate of that magnitude is not necessary to elicit change in fleet policy. Bringing attention to the issues that may trouble our membership and possible solution that you'd like to see only need to be brought to our attention.

I wanna check out the Foundry. :P
