Re: StonewallFleet Channel

There have been a lot of chat channel bugs lately and it sounds like you have one of them. Try to get in contact with a an Admiral or Fleet Captain in-game for further assistance. I would be glad to help you but I'm still at work. :(

Thanks for the response. I tried that and it didn't work. Maybe I should leave and rejoin the channel?

StonewallFleet Channel

I truly apologize if this is not the place for this but for some reason after joining the Channel in game I am seeing no chatter, and getting no response to my hails. I can see there are people on when looking at the Channels tab of Chat configuration. I am kinda thinking that I have something screwed up. I followed the instructions exactly and nothing. If anyone can give me an assist I would be most grateful.

Re: Character Biography

February 27 2013
Night was born on Earth year unknown
Took advanced Enginneering in Star Fleet Academy.
Was disciplined multiple times for arguing with his instructors, but not for being wrong, but for proving them wrong. His file also shows his Iq is off the charts, as is his anger and way of vengence.
Once on senior year a Ferengi classmate played a prank on Night, The Ferengi was later expelled from Starfleet Academy for Contraband on campus, which he claims Night planted on him.
His first assignment was aboard the USS Kandy
There he used his talents and made a 50 year old ship almost as nice as some of the best of the fleet according to Captain Myth.
Captain Myth also promoted him to Cheif Engineer after Night was able to show the captain how to advance power from the warp core to the shield systems.
However during a mission Lt Night was injured and taken to starbase 44 for an operation, The Kandy was ordered to confront a Klingon ship and during the battle, the Kandy was destroyed. The Klingons claimed the ship exploded, but according to logs, they were destroyed by the Klingon ship.
When Night awoke and found out about the Kandy he was furious and had to be kept in a holding cell to prevent escape during his recovery.
However when released, Night took some time off and went to Kronos, came back 3 days later after getting into armed combat with the Klingon captain who destroyed the Kandy. According to Klingon tradition, Night defeated and killed the Captain.
He was not charged as the Klingons said it was honorable combat and Night won fair and square.
Night bounced around for a year before being promoted and assigned to The Sally Ride.
Night has currently been on the USS Sally Ride for 3 months now, and according to ships counselor is happy and highly productive, but also protective and secretive. He blamed himself some for the destruction of the Kandy. He will not talk about his past before the Academy, and there is no record of him that can be found at this time.
Warning!
Lt Commander Night is highly trained in combat and engineering and can be blunt with how he words things. He can take things personally and may take revenge if his feelings are hurt. No Records of his past is a concern, but Night assures everyone nothing is wrong or bad, its just very private. It has been told his entire family is deceased and he is the only member of his family left alive. When asked about this the subject was changed.
Sally Ride Counsellor.

Re: Starbase Diversity RP Update

February 27 2013
This sounds awesome, I am still learning RP but I am highly interested in it. I would probably apply for a starbase personal lead position. But again I am waiting on the doctors findings on my arm, until it is fully healed it will be hard to type but i can always use voice to text.

Re: STONEWALL AT SEA Information

February 27 2013
Well, after the Triumph debacle, I will certainly not give Carnival my business, that is the second time in three years they have had serious problems at sea with one of their ships. Added to my post before that means I will not go if the selection is Carnival.

I voted for Norweigian/Miami option.

Whoop, forgot about this despite it having been the message of the day for some time now. I'll be submitting my design tonight, after stopping for fabric at Mood, and accessorizing at the Macy's wall.

Oh noes! Sorry to hear things hit a brick wall. I was really looking forward to this. Still, I'd love to be kept in the loop about the independent project and would love to contribute in any small way I can. Like Voleron, I'll be sending you my e-mail via PM.

Re: Starbase Diversity RP Update

February 26 2013
I apologise for the lack of updates about the RP. There have been many discussions behind the scenes concerning it and as a result the RP will no longer be part of Stonewall, but rather an independent entity. I will also no longer be posting any updates here (at least for the time being), so if you would like more information about the RP going forward, please feel free to contact me personally. Anyone who is still interested in joining us is more than welcome to do so.

Once again I thank you all for your input and enthusiasm and I'm sorry that we will not be able to go forward as planned.

Recap: Seven Years' Bad Luck

February 26 2013
Part One

The Waverider rejoined the USS Sally Ride just before it arrived at the Hadriepsis research facility. The facility is best known for its state-of-the-art Borg liberation center, but it's also the site of cutting-edge research on all aspects of Borg physiology and psychology. The Ride was being sent to pick up a cadre of newly liberated officers to be stationed on Starbase Diversity, as well as some experimental technology just becoming ready for deployment.

However, when the ship arrived at the starbase facility, it didn't answer their hails. Life scans indicated that the station's personnel were all present and in good health, and there didn't appear to be any technical problems. Suspicious of the situation, Captain Orenn ordered yellow alert.

Some explanation presented itself when a spatial anomaly appeared on the opposite side of the station from the Ride. Attempts to divine the nature of the anomaly were stonewalled by the ship's computer, which claimed to be guarding classified information. At least one trait of the anomaly quickly became clear when it deposited a starship in space that hadn't been there before.

The ship appeared to be of Federation design, but no one could quite identify the class. Its IFF beacon was also unrecognizable to the crew. It immediately fired up its transporters, beaming personnel and cargo out of certain areas of the station. It ignored hails, just as the station had done -- at least until the Ride used a tractor beam to block its transporters.

At that point, the captain of the ship, a weathered human named Captain Derreth, deigned to parley with the Ride. He identified his ship as the "ISS Minotaur," which meant little to most but a lot to Orenn. Derreth insisted that his only interest was in extracting his people from the facility and leaving, but Captain Orenn refused to let him make off with the Federation equipment that he was obviously beaming aboard his ship by the crateful.

The Ride also beamed a team aboard the station, to retake control of the decks that were occupied by Terrans. This put a thick layer of frost over the negotiations with Captain Derreth, however. The team easily regained control of the station's tactical systems, but were immediately set upon when they attempted to retake the command deck. Between the weapons fire aboard the station and the blocked transporters, it became clear that Derreth wasn't going to make a clean getaway, and the furious Terran closed communications.

Deciding that his priority was to prevent the Terrans from escaping with whatever they were after, Orenn immediately ordered the Sciences department to act on their plans to collapse the spatial anomaly the Minotaur had used to arrive. The Terran ship moved to protect its escape route with lethal force, opening fire immediately. The Sally Ride's recent upgrades and a considerable amount of recent battle damage to the Minotaur put the two ships on a fairly even footing... until the Ride's team aboard the station retook the command deck and joined in with the starbase's defensive systems.

Unexpectedly, the Minotaur exploded. Examination of combat logs revealed that as soon as it became clear they had no hope of escape, Derreth scuttled his own ship, detonating its warp core in a suicidal attempt to cause the maximum damage to both Hadriepsis and the Ride.

Orenn's report to Admiral Walker was inconclusive. It's not clear what the Minotaur was after, and clearing up that uncertainty is the top priority the Admiral has handed down. The Terran personnel captured aboard the starbase -- most of whom appear to be mirror duplicates of starbase personnel -- are the obvious first place to go for information. There is also considerable concern about the conduct of one of the Ride's engineers, a Lt.Cmdr Night. He has been scheduled for special counseling sessions with tr'Dar.
