I would have liked Alexander's leather train a lot more if it had been more integrated into the front of the skirt. As it was, it just looked tacked on to the look.
Oh, and Miranda surprised me--I thought she really stepped up. I loved what she did.
Me too! I would've pegged her as top three for sure, with Alexander and Jeremy. I did like Alexandria's outfit, but apparently nowhere near as much as the judges did. Some other thoughts...
Jeremy: I loved his dress as well and would've picked him as the winner.
Alexander: I loved his dress - when his model was facing the camera, that is. I did not at all care for the leather train though. To the point where it was all I could notice whenever it was in view of the camera. :P
Kate: I didn't really like her dress when she was making it, but damned if I didn't think it was cute once she had her model all made-up on the runway. I noticed something similar when she made the winning gown for the diamonds challenge - didn't really like it until I saw her model on the runway. She seems to have a real skill for picking the right hair and makeup to complete the "total look" and really sell her designs.
Karen: Hated it from the moment she showed it to Tim all the way up until the end. Forget which designer said it, but 'toga attached to a belt strap' about summed it up. Dying the toga yellow instead of white wasn't going to fix much here.
Justin: I gasped in horror when his model walked out, because his outfit was just so terrible and I knew he would be sent home. I
The problems with DareDevil had more to do with the screenplay than Aflacks acting, i was actually impressed by how well keaton did. He was not my favorite but he still did better than clooney or kilmer (i still love kilmer for doing Willow).
Give the man some rope, he will either hang himself, or impress the hell out of us that he did not suck.
I wish that i had seen Argo to better judge his dramatic chops.
SWOTR,awesome single player game, wrapped in a lack luster massive multiplayer shell. Its almost like the old Atari days of STO, they have no real clue how to run an mmo.
It being single player friendly is EXACTLY why it is one of my favorites. I work three jobs, and as such it is impossible for me to team up with people at times. STO, CoH/CoV, and SWTOR were the first games I could get to max level, alone and by myself, without having to sit there, alone, spamming general hoping someone was available to help me through some part of the game.
Okay - Seriously... I thought the days of this kinda crappy (Val Kilmer/George Clooney)representation of the beloved Dark Knight was over.. Bat Nipples... The less said about that the better. I'm not just scared, I'm about to downright give up on DC ever making a decent hero movie.. Recent Batman movies excluded of course. Stick to making great cartoon features IE JL Doom, DK Returns/ DK Strikes Again, Batman The Red Hood, GL First Flight, Flashpoint... So many to choose from.. Just stay the hell out of the movie business and you might, and I repeat, MIGHT get some of my respect back. Venting done... Go back to your lives.
Okay, I don't think I've ever cried like that at the end of an episode PLUS I am very glad my big guess about all the contestants crying was so very wrong. And isn't it cool for a contestant to be this far along and *all* the other contestants like him? That speaks a lot to who he is. And he's cute to boot!
What were the judges thinking? *I* could have made Karen's dress, and I can't even darn a sock. So I am very glad that Justin got saved. His glue-lace (how clever was that!) *could* have worked but he went overboard with it. Just panels of it--which is what I thought he was going to do--would have looked good and made the statement he wanted.
Ken's sense of taste is just way off. I thought he would go home this week--I still think he is going home very soon. Also, I'm assuming since no-one went home this week, there will be a week when two contestants leave? That's the way other programmes like this work.
Jeremy's dress was a dream. So elegant. But he is not going to Fashion Week if he keeps designing for Audrey Hepburn--not that I think that's a bad thing, I'm a dinosaur--but it's not going to make the judges happy in the long run if he doesn't think more contemporary.
Not sure I agree with the judges on Alexandria winning. Gotta agree with Zac and Tim--drop-crotch on a woman's garment makes it look like she crapped her pants. (And this is coming from a guy who vigorously defends sagging.) The outfit overall, though, was the most fashion-forward of the bunch.
I loved Alexander's dress--the fit and the detailing were phenomenal. I'm with Heidi--I'm up in the air about the leather bit. But I thought the dress was gorgeous overall.
So I came close to almost liking Ken tonight because of how he talked about Justin. But then he had to badmouth Alexandria and she won. I did not particularly like her outfit, but it did look good for being made of denim. I liked Alexander's dress except for that shiny black shit at the bottom dragging on the floor. I did not like Helen's at all. Total snoozefest. Ken's dress looked heavy and the placement of that folded mess was unfortunate. I felt very bad for Justin and I was SOOOOOOOOO glad that Tim used his save. I got all teary eyed. All the designers love him and he is such a great guy. I hope he either wins or gets to fashion week. :-) Oh and Kern's dress was not that bad. I liked the buckles. Although I have seen that dress before. Kate's dress was a mess. It looked like spilled tar on a white sheet. I was in love with Jeremy's dress and kinda wish he would have won. Ok I think I covered everything I wanted to. :-)
Don't feel stupid, it can be difficult to find some information as there is so much on the website. Our SWTOR guilds are on The Harbinger server, it's a west coast PVE server. You can now transfer your toons to a new server and won't lose any of your legacy perks. :cheer: Although, I am not exactly sure how the legacy system works if you only transfer one toon or part of your legacy to a new server. Not sure, the legacy goes with them or if you would have to start over and the remaining toons on the old server would keep your current legacy. I suspect that's what would happen so you'd have to transfer all the toons from the old server to the new in order to continue with your current legacy. Rather crappy outcome but a similar problem was holding up the transfer process, the devs didn't want anyone getting credit for achievements twice. God forbid should their couple of Cartel Coin reward for certain achievements be awarded more than once when someone decided to transfer a toon and already had the achievement on one server but would immediately get credit again as soon as they logged in to their new server.
If you decide to transfer your toons, just send me a PM (private message) to let me know the names of your toon(s) and their faction, and a time period you usually log on to play. I will make sure to log in during that time frame and send you invites. We can get any and all toons invited at the same time or do it individually, whichever works best for you. Just let me know. (and honest, I am not laughing at all, there's nothing wrong with wanting to switch guilds). :) I will warn you though, sometimes it's rather quiet since most of our members are also Stonewall Fleet members and are often playing STO instead of SWTOR. (Not me though... ;) )
I am willing to bet money the answer is in so obvious a spot I will feel stupid for a month
but...
What server is our SW:TOR guilds on? I have 6 max level characters on an RP server and was just wondering. I am thinking of raising a new character from birth but am worried about losing my legacy level (which is really high and I have all legacy buffs) if I switch to a new server, but I am kind of meh about my old gay RP guild (stop laughing).
