Re: Lord of the Rings online?
I hate you all, I'll be rolling an elven warden on Arkenstone, or maybe guardian? Decisions!!
I think further explanation should be provided. I am likely speaking out of turn but I think that I understand some of the complexities that are involved with forming a Stonewall presence in other games.
I can speak with first hand knowledge because I have previously attempted to form a Stonewall presence in two other games that have been released. Long story short, those attempts have not gone well. There are various circumstances. But a big reason is that people simply stopped playing the games, both Stonewall members and people in general. Thus I believe a key to success is critical mass.
Another key is the length of play. Are people going to play for a few months and then stop? Or will there be a sustaining force over time. Because establishing and maintaining a Stonewall presence will require various resources of both people and the site, these are very important questions to answer.
The leadership team will hold discussions to determine feasibility.
Hey Guys this topic came up a few months ago and well, I'll let Nick say it:Generally speaking, we don't start guilds in games that have already launched and have active glbt guilds. Instead, we try to support the active ones as best we can. I'm pretty sure there are some Stonewall members that play LotRO and are members of glbt guilds, hopefully one of them can direct you to their guild.
