Our standing rule when establishing a Stonewall Gaming Network on a new game is to see if there is already an established GLBT group in the game. The reason is we don't want to poach or have the appearance of trying to steal members.

I did a search for Marvel Heroes 2015 GLBT and I dug this up. So as there an existing gay guild there, we will not be establishing an official SWGN presence there.

I mean, as the system currently stands - it doesn't make sense to grind max skill on a bunch of alts.

I think I have 2/6 L50s.

And it sorta makes sense. I have one bankalt that I play only rarely, who's great for dumping a ton of crafting mats into his bank. And really, the only significant plus to crafting right now, as I see it, is keeping alts well-stocked for consoles during the levelling process.

But I'm not yet entirely clear whether the new buff incentives really changeup whether I'd want to try and grind the system on more than one toon.

Given they've got to make their money somewhere, and one of the major zen conversions seems to be dilithium? It probably will remain that way.

I suppose it might be advantageous to wait, then, before grinding the system.

If I had to prognosticate (purely conjectural, mind you), Cryptic'll err on the conservative side, and overcharge at first - potentially adjusting costs downward at later date, as they have with the rep systems.

The only cons I really go to are the annual Las Vegas ones put on by Creation Entertainment. Neither I, nor anyone I know who's gone has experienced any homophobic treatment. In face, couple years back, we were drinking at the casino bar with Rod Roddenberry, he was completely at ease being around a bunch of gay men and when I asked him if he thought his Father would've had any problem with the next Star Trek Captain being gay, he very readily said he did not think he would.

So these people who claim to be huge fans of Star Trek while simultaneously taking a crap on all that it stands for, are really no more than bigots who happen to like science fiction. It's not impossible, like a paraplegic gymnast, it's just really difficult. ;)

Sorry to hear about your experience. I've been noticing a lot of homophobic, and near xenophobic comments in a lot of the social zones(ESD, DS9, and now Risa) it's shameful and why I avoid most of those places

Disclaimer: my highest rank is Shields 10, because there's an "error" in the Aegis Shield recipe that currently makes it abusable. That said, between the Snake Pit (reddit) and the Oubliette (the official forums), there's a lot of information about.

Also keep in mind: there are still a lot of glitches and typos in the system. This is possibly the most alpha of any feature I've seen them put on Tribble, and I was around for both rep and starbases.

Sorry to hear she has been so hostile. I know a few people like that, and it can really be aggravating to hear them say such things, especially within a Star Trek community. Sam is right about IDIC. Star Trek is suppose to be about acceptance. Not hate. If they're continuously being aggressive, I'd try my best to try and distance myself from such unfriendly environment.
