The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is finally here and in only one month the celebrations will take place in Liverpool:
Semifinal 1 - Tuesday May 9th
Semifinal 2 - Thursday May 11th
Grand Final - Saturday May 13th
All the 37 songs have been published and the field this year is very diverse with an unusual amount of Rock bands. Also, we have a tractor, a boxing ring, two scandinavian queens (one of them a Eurovision winner who returns), singers who are possessed by the ghost of Edgar Allan Poe, seven minutes of unnecessary panic attacks, a unicorn, a song about gaming and a song called „I wrote a song“. If you're a bit confused about the madness of Eurovision 2023 now, go check out all the participating songs quickly with two short recap videos of the Semi-Finals:

Eurovision Song Contest 2023 alphabetical orderBy the way, this year is a special one because all of you will be able to vote! The EBU have announced some changes to the voting system and introduced something called the „rest of the world“ - vote. You can read in detail about it
here. So check out these songs and make your mind up...
Another thing that will be different this year is that, due to personal reasons, the Teds will not hold a live Stonewall Your-O-Vision event. Instead, we challenge you in
this forum thread to share your thoughts in a different way: the concept is called „commentary list“. Yearly, we put together our own „commentary list“ - a playlist of the ESC songs, each followed or answered by a commentary song. Commentary songs either have a similarity in the music or lyrics to their song or they represent another (free) association and they can be tongue in cheek. So now, we want you to share your associations and commentaries! Post them to
this forum thread before May 9th and win some Stonewall Credits. Happy Commenting!
